I would like to know why in God's green Earth this is such a HUGE topic half the world away in the United States! I mean come on, any time I turn on the news, that's all I see is more crap about the royal wedding. With all due respect to my English brothers and sisters, I don't give half a crap about this. The monarchy doesn't even do anything anymore, and it's not news. Let's stop wasting our journalism and resources on some wedding and let's report what's going on in the middle east, or figure out why gas is so freaking expensive! This stupid wedding is getting on my nerves, seriously.

In short, I stand by my assertion that Americans are British Royalty obsessed, since they have no royalty or history of their own.

What leads you to believe that a lack of royalty and history instead of "celebrity" infatuation is the reason for this "obsession"?

I never said you were bitter.

You did say, "Also, your use of hyperbole, combined with the word obsessed makes you sound almost a little bitter"

I am well aware. I also said I didn't say he was bitter. Then we talked about it. Do you have point in there somewhere, or do you just like stating random facts.

Thank you for expressing this idea much better than I did.

I was just saying that you said he seems bitter. Therefore, you called him bitter. Any discussions you had with him outside of this thread, I did not see.

Are these insults necessary? What did I do to you? I simply formed a question than wasn't as broad as saying "I question your reasoning".

I said he sounded bitter. Being bitter and sounding bitter are different.

Where I come from, thanking someone for reinforcing your position more eloquently isn't an insult :|

Now it is just an argument of semantics so I'll just let this go (which admittedly I should have done in the first place).

I apologize. I took it as sarcasm. It is hard to get the mood of the writer through text.
