Obama released his birth certificate today.

This should shut up Trump. And basically every other republican....

This has to be the best thing ever:

John McCain was born in a Naval Air Station along the Panama Canal, a U.S. territory, not a state of the Union. He would have to become naturalized once he emigrated to the U.S. and would not have been eligible for presidency.

That is from a different, more unreliable site, but I still think it is hilarious, if true.

I'm both annoyed and excited about the release of the long birth certificate. I find it annoying that Obama revealed his certificate due to ignorant Republicans but I am excited because, as the president said, now our nation can focus on important issues instead of political bantering that solves nothing.

Trump 2012 because being the booty call of big business is no longer enough; we need to actively be whoring our country out.

Obviously he is. I am a Republican but I know that. He obviously had to have his birth certificate checked to become president. I just wish he would have done this sooner so that like he (and samy) said, the nation could focus on important issues.

I'm unsure how widespread this is but a DJ on my favorite radio station said he Uncle emailed him and told him that the birth certificate didn't matter because he was a 48er; he doesn't believe that Alaska and Hawaii are legitimate states.

*facepalm and overly dramatic sigh*

AMERICA, AMERICA! HOW STU-PID CAN WE BE!

Sing that to the tune of America the beautiful.

Can't we just get over the fact that he is legit, and carry out our business?

He hasn't thats the problem. Now I knew that the supreme court wouldn't take this lightly when he swore in (the first time). But I had to wonder why they wouldn't just release the birth certificate the first time and not the millionth. If we can print money we can print a birth certificate...

TRUMP FOR PREZ! But really, the man knows how to make money. All politicians suck and I think its time we don't elect some over-hyped, under qualified politician and try a business man. I'm confident that he will bring us out of the recession and maybe into a boom.

If Obama was white, and was named John Smith, and had the same ideology, there would be no controversy. Racism is real and terrible. Glad he shut up everyone who questioned him, but there will still be idiots questioning the legitimacy. Some guy was already questioning it from the Yahoo article I read.

And now... Maybe some real things will get done. Sad that about half of all republicans are complete sheep idiots.

And they would say the same of democrats. The thing is, many people are complete sheep idiots.

Well... I'd say Universal Healthcare was pretty big...

Big, yes. Was it good though? Many people who have universal healthcare don't even want it.

Many people who are affected by universal health care cannot voice their opinions because they cannot afford things like internet. Universal Healthcare was about human quality of life.

You're dumb if that's actually what you think; our country is in debt because of business people like him and do you know anything about his foreign and domestic policies they're awful.

After 3 years maybe he will accomplish SOMETHING good for this country.

Handled wars in the middle east, dealt with pirate hostage situations, repealed DADT, begun repealing The Defense of Marriage Act, enacted Universal healthcare, begun the closing of Guantanamo, decreased unemployment rates, increased economic prosperity in respect to when he took office.

Care to make more baseless claims or are we good here?

Almost everyone is affected by it. Even the people who already had health care because now they have to help pay for other people's health care as well.

Americans are paranoid by anything socialist. A lot of American media just fear mongers and never tells anyone a straight story. The only informed people are those who try and look for the truth themselves, and they're far and few between.

I find it funny how the country was screaming for change in '08 and then they got Obama who tried changing things. Then he's met with a brick wall of opposition. It's really hard to change things in a country that fights change every step of the way.
