You are so far off it's not even funny, dude. Haha. Hardcore punk's been around since the early '80s. Deathcore wasn't around until like around 04-05. Deathcore has some influences from modern hardcore, but not old school hardcore punk.

Uh, no. It came from punk. Hence the name hardcore PUNK. Haha. It's just a more "extreme" style of punk. Some hardcore bands started having more metal influences towards the end of the '80s and that's when crossover started, which is a hybrid of metal and hardcore/punk. Screamo didn't evolve from crossover though. It evolved from hardcore which is NOT metal. Honestly just listen to any screamo bands and you'll realize it's not metal in any way, shape, or form. Is admitting you're wrong really that hard for you? Hahaha.

dude, punk in general came from heavy metal from the late 60's to the early 70's. then the sex pistols and the clash came out, then everything sort of fell through with bands like black flag and the dead kennedies. punk came from heavy metal wether you like it or not. its all rock in the end, but still

Let me start off by saying you've completely derailed this argument, haha. You're obviously not familiar with the origins of punk because it didn't "come" from metal. Punk was formed against all the overproduced, arena-type rock and heavy metal that was around during that time. It evolved from bands like MC5 and the Stooges who played dirty, balls out rock n roll. Then came the Ramones, then all the uk bands.

But, back to the original argument: Do you still think screamo evolved from death metal? Hahaha.

That explains why you think that... None of those bands are screamo. Like I said earlier, screamo is a chaotic/dissonant/emotional offshoot of hardcore that started around 90-91. Some screamo bands are Circle Takes the Square, Pg.99, Orchid. Absolutely nothing like the bands you mentioned (who are all metalcore).

A couple pages back you said Underoath founded screamo. And not only did they form about 10 years after screamo was created, they have never played screamo. You obviously are not familiar with the genre so I don't see why you're trying to act like you do.

Did you not read my post? Haha. I'll just quote myself for you, "screamo is a chaotic/dissonant/emotional offshoot of hardcore that started around 90-91. Some screamo bands are Circle Takes the Square, Pg.99, Orchid". By the way, that's not what I consider screamo, that's what true screamo is, but over the years the term has basically been *******ized. Nowadays, most people use the term for any sort of music with screamed/growled vocals. I've seen people call death metal, black metal, and even grindcore bands "screamo". I can assure you none of the bands you mentioned are screamo.

No, I've only heard some of their material, but I believe they're more along the lines of mathcore. (ridiculous name, I know)

Music has changed for the worst, unfortunately. =^(

We had great singers like Roy Brown, Louis Armstrong, Elvis and Frank Zappa, and now we have lame singers who are popular for a year or two and are then completely forgotten.

You know a song is good when it's fifty-years-old and people still listen to it.

i believe the classic ERA was much better
When we didnt have Rebecca Black or Justin Bieber or Lady Gaga
And i`m actually a person who doesnt care about that mainstream stuff.I listen to my own music like Death Metal,Death Core and other brutal stuff
but sometimes it really pisses me off when people discuss some1 like Justin Bieber in METAL videos even though everybody already know he is GAY.
Yet his video has 500 million views.Yes,i`ve been there myself, threw up,disliked it and blocked that **** Vevo channel for eternity
but no,it seems people go there on purpose and post their negative and hateful comments thinking it`s gonna change something
and then they wonder why he has so many views
Man, where the world is coming to, seriously?
