I found this article online: "13 1 Then I saw a beast coming up out of the sea. It had ten horns and seven heads, and on its horns were ten diadem crowns, and on its heads a blasphemous name. 2 Now the beast that I saw was like a leopard, but its feet were like a bearâs, and its mouth was like a lionâs mouth. The dragon gave the beast his power, his throne, and great authority to rule. 3 One of the beastâs heads appeared to have been killed, but the lethal wound had been healed. (NET)
We know that he was buried at seaâ¦. Ummmm⦠And he was shot in the headâ¦. Ummmâ¦. And he used Chinese weaponry (leopard); fought the Russians (bear); and was a CIA operative (lion)â¦.." Not to mention the NEXT lines from the bible:

4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
5 ¶ And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
Osama has caused many wars... Could he be the first beast?

I can't even agree that this is a stretch. I see no relation at all. Why does a leopard represent Chinese weaponry, Russians are bear, etc? That makes no sense.

Not only is there little to no correlation here, The Bible was written by men

The wiki page on russia says that the bear is a common personification of the country. The bible was written by man, but all of revelation was a vision

Russians are bear

In Soviet Russia bear follows you!

The wiki page on russia says that the bear is a common personification of the country. The bible was written by man, but all of revelation was a vision

An eagle would also be an appropriate animal to symbolize Russia. Again I don't see the Chinese connection with the leopard, or how America is a lion. You're making too many assumptions with this.

Let's suppose the following is an old prophecy:

There will be a beast who resembles a bear but with the face of a pig. He will poison the world and turn on his majesty. He will breath fire and show his wrath unto the world.

This describes my neighbor. He is obviously a man, has a beard that makes him resemble a mountain man (or a bear), and he had bacon for breakfast. He got drunk on alcohol (poisoned the world) and turned on his majesty (his wife). He breathed fire (profanity) and went into a rage (a drunken fit).

I don't believe in prophecies but let's assume that "visions" are real.

A man from the past couldn't possibly describe Russians as bears, for how big and furry said Russians could be. He couldn't have known about the fact that the bear is a common personification of Russia.

A more plausible case could be the one from Revelation 9:3-11, in which the writer describes giant armored locusts with scorpion-like tails, with wings that sound " like the thundering of many horses and chariots rushing into battle". This could actually be how a man from the ancient past would have described a helicopter.

Nonetheless, as I stated before, I don't believe in all this, because prophecies are always so (maybe purposely) vague, that you could adapt any concept of any shape or form to it with a little stretch, so I wouldn't overthink it.

He was buried in the sea, but was not born there was he? Do you really expect him to swim up again as a horned beast? And how would you explain the horns and the seven heads? Osama obviously had one.

About the weaponry.. are you sure? As far as I heard, it was the americans who provided him with weapons, at least in the beginning.

Also, there are so many humans who have caused so many wars that this isn't a distinctive point either.

A general remark to such conspiracy theories, prophecies and visions: as long as you are looking for something, you'll likely find something that will suffice to your curiosity, and likely be eager to embrace every small irrelevant hint that could fulfill even a small portion of a single point. Please do us a favour and think a bit more critically about such things.

But while the Beast had a revived head, Osama has yet to come crawling out of the ocean.

all of revelation was a vision

There's the magic words everyone needs to see. Now, are we going to use Revelation, a vision, as a form of deduction, an example being "a 90% reflects the notion that a student received an A on an exam", or are we going to use Revelation as a form of broad generalizations, meaning that 90% can be applied to anything and everything?

Let's forget all future notions of Revelation and just focus on this. So in 4 and 5 of Revelation we see:

4:: And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

5:: And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

Can this be deduced or be generalized? If a vision could be deduced, then why have past predictions, some of which E1337 provided, be shams, not to mention some predictions were in the face of fellow Christians? Why have past attempts on Revelations, depicting many different people, failed? If the vision can be a pure generalization, then why are we being so hyped up about a vision?

It's a vision. Even the content itself provides the fact that so many things can seem so similar in order to be qualified to be pointed at with a finger. Others have failed. Why should Osama be any different?

Basically anyone can cite anything from the bible and say oh this surely this is a prophecy of what just happened, obviously the bible foresaw this event.

Hmm I don't see how many of E1337's example could even fit the passage. For one, most of those people didn't even die from a head injury (Nero and Hitler committed suicide) and the fact that Osama was buried at sea and that the beast comes out of the sea is a weird coincidence. Most of the time when people say "that guy is the antichrist" or something like that, they don't even fit the description. Also, most of those accusations just come from pure disgust with the person. The weird thing about this is that a lot of the details match. I'm not saying it's real this time, it's just those weird coincidences that the passage has with Osama's description. To CrimsonVamp: The whole point of a vision is to see things that haven't happened. John obviously didn't know anything about Russia, but just because he didn't, doesn't mean his vision is false. Oh, I might want to add that I didn't even think of this, a friend told me to look up the passage and I found it kind of creepy with the similarities and everything.

Seriously, how can you believe this? Go read revelations again, and tell me that isn't the work of a violent man on drugs.
