I have a suggestion: I think it would be nice to rate/like user comments that are given for games. Also it would be nice to keep the comments that receive thee most likes on top of the commenting place. I've visited this site called kongregate.com they have this system of liking user comments and the most liked comments stay on top of the other user comments for that game. It would be very nice to see the best comments/tips for playing the game without going/searching over all the comments. Please make some system like that. Thankyou. 007

I'm not sure why you're hating on the comment rating so much

I'm not hating on it, i am just stating the problems and the flaws that will evolve eventually.

it'll help people that play the games see the reviews.

It will let people see the useless reviews. The only reviews that are gonna get voted up are the ones people think are funny.

It isn't going to turn out like Kongregate or YouTube where they vote up all the useless comments

YouTube and Kongregates TOS are just as or more strict then Armor Games.

We already know that there might be a vote up/down feature on forum posts in AG3, so why aren't you complaining about that?

I haven't seen anything about that. Oh and BTW i am not complaining.

You're only complaining about the comment rating because of how it might turn out bad, but you haven't said anything about the forum posts getting voted up/down in the AG3 sub-forum.

I haven't seen anything about that. Oh and BTW i am not complaining.

If you like that idea, and not this one, then that makes no sense. Since they are both essentially the same thing.

They are similar, but not the same thing.

It isn't going to turn out bad because of how strict AG is with spam and useless comments.

It doesn't necessarily have to be spam that gets voted up. If it is not in violation of the TOS it cant be deleted.

And I'm sure it doesn't take much time to sift through the flagged comments. They must have some sort of thing on there that lets them check mark comments, and look through comments quickly.

We probably shouldn't say how much time it takes for the Admin or Mods to sift through the comments. We don't have to do it so we have no room to talk. Sorry that's my fault.

Your argument on this idea is flawed for the reasons that I've stated many times before.

Not to be offensive or anything, but you have not stated one reason why my idea is flawed.

You're only complaining about how the useless comments will get voted up, well, read through this thread.

I'm not complaining. I am stating that useless comments are going to get voted up. There is some difference between a complaint and a statement.

read through this thread.

I have read through it every time I have made a post, just to make sure i don't get my foot in mouth or anything like that.

Yes, AG is strict about spam, but maybe this argument is being caused by xeano321 not seeing that.

I am a avid supporter of the Terms of use, i know what they say.

It doesn't necessarily have to be spam that gets voted up, if they don't violate the Terms of use, then there is no reason for it to get deleted or get flagged.

I'm not hating on it, i am just stating the problems and the flaws that will evolve eventually.

This is what I see you saying every time you post:
the idea is bad!!!!111 they will vote up uselesss things!!111 let me not read Matrix's posts and I'll repeat everythings!!1111
It will let people see the useless reviews. The only reviews that are gonna get voted up are the ones people think are funny.

You can't prove that this will happen. Read my post, it's obvious that you didn't.
YouTube and Kongregates TOS are just as or more strict then Armor Games.

You know nothing about YouTube or Kongregate, then. If you did, then you wouldn't have typed out that stupid sentence.
I haven't seen anything about that. Oh and BTW i am not complaining.

Read more. There's a sticky about it in there. You are complaining, you're saying that this idea is bad for the same reasons, you aren't even reading my posts about it.
They are similar, but not the same thing.

Rating up/down comments and posts = same thing.
It doesn't necessarily have to be spam that gets voted up. If it is not in violation of the TOS it cant be deleted.

Spam = useless comment or post that doesn't contribute to anything. If it isn't that, then it contributes to the game and it gets voted up.
We probably shouldn't say how much time it takes for the Admin or Mods to sift through the comments. We don't have to do it so we have no room to talk.

It's the most logical thing to say when we have the technology we have now.
you have not stated one reason why my idea is flawed.

Your idea: bad comments will be voted up. My counter-argument: they get deleted. I've posted about it many times, thank you for proving that you don't read my posts.
I am stating that useless comments are going to get voted up. There is some difference between a complaint and a statement.

Not when you're talking about it this whole time trying to say that bad comments will get voted up, when I have stated reasons why they won't.

Re-read, then come back since it's obvious that you aren't reading.
It doesn't necessarily have to be spam that gets voted up, if they don't violate the Terms of use, then there is no reason for it to get deleted or get flagged.

If it isn't spam or useless/doesn't contribute to anything, then it won't get deleted and it deserves to be up there.

The post above may seen redundant because I repeated 're-read my posts' a few times, but I had to say that so that the person reads them instead of going on about how bad comments will be voted up.

Then we need a mod or admin to settle this argument. Then again, xeano321 may just be doing it for points.

What the hell are you two arguing about?

It's an argument over whether a system to rate user comments should be implemented or not. xeano321 says no because he thinks that bad stuff will happen. GhostOfMatrix says yes because he thinks AG will keep those bad things from happening.

xeano321 - comments getting voted up will be bad because useless comments will be voted up.

Me - that won't happen because useless comments get deleted.

---

I went more into detail about it with my post on page 5.

Even if useless comments get voted up by some people, there will be the down votes to counter balance it. Also if the so-called useless comments become more visible by being up-voted then mods or admins will see them and clear the votes or delete them. Remember kids, useless = spam.

This is what I've been trying to say the whole time. Thank you for clearing that up.

Now that that's settled, I will be going.

so that the person reads them

Now i don't even get the respect of having my name used? That is rather offensive.

Never mind about the comment voting thing, its apparent that you wont even consider the possibility that my idea could be right.
Just remember one thing, i still think that my idea is right about this thing.

Oh and judging from the way you have been acting it appears that you have something against me (i can read people very well.), if you have a reply just leave it on my profile.

Thanks for the great argument Matrix!

I accidentally hit submit on the previous post. The great operation of the Tab key.

xeano321 may just be doing it for points.

Why is this whole thing turning on me all of a sudden? If you all will go back and read the past posts, you will see that Matrix started the whole thing.

Page two.
You said it was a bad idea, I posted to tell you it wasn't.

The discussion is done, Walker's post ended it.

Also, Patrick wouldn't have said that if you would read my posts that were posted on this thread, and if you would've thought about it more, this discussion would've never happened.
