I ask this because a lot of these forums are of why people believe there is a God but, what about those out there who don't believe in a God? Why don't you think there is a God at all?
Just because I think something does not make it true though. There very well could be a God, but I am very confident in my belief that a God does not exist. If there were to be one, I like to think It would not have a heaven or hell in store for Its creations.
Why are you so sure? On the heaven/hell thing, is that all based on personal feelings?
It's actually more likely the universe will end up in heat death rather then a big crunch.
You have to admit that there are a lot of theories on how the universe will end. I just used that as a detail as to how the universe is a system free of intervention by a higher being.

Somewhat and the conclusion that an omnipotent being would not need nor desire a place of punishment/reward for actions done during an organism's lifespan. Not to mention that a heaven/hell scenario would mean that either tiny sing-celled organisms need to be categorized into heaven/hell even though they have no actual thought *or* that they do not have an afterlife which brings the question as to why we would.
...that they do not have an afterlife which brings the question as to why we would.
People hope for one because they want to believe in 'eternal life' and have done so for centuries. Whether or not there is actually one is something for speculation.
I think the biggest issue with religion is there are those extremist athiest who commint hate crime and things like that and then there are those fake/extreme religion people that brainwash and attack those who aren't in it
It is as much of a hate crime as a child being told santa claus does not exist. And all religions brainwash.
Kasic, you act as if there is nothing in the bible that tells you to love your neighbor or respect others. There are terrible things in the bible, and there are good things in the bible. Who are you to say the bad outweighs the good? If something is not perfect, should have nothing of it?
Anyone can come up with the good stuff. It is not hard. So the good stuff is generic but the bad stuff is not. And the bible is claiming that it is the word of god and that god is all good so the bad stuff is good which it is clearly not. And if the bible is not holy all christians must be pretty stupid for following a book written by stupid, misogynistic goatherds.
