Well this is just ****ing stupid.

I pray to god that this does not go any farther. Please, I am begging the people of the US Senate, stop the madness before it goes any farther.

It's rediculous. I myself am pro-choice, but I don't see how people should restrict a woman's right to have an "accident" child aborted? But at least it will be shot down in the Senate.

This just encourages people to have illegal abortions by inexperienced people and that puts many more lives in danger

Same. Killing children is not something I want to pay for.

On the other hand, this isn't helping our overpopulation crisis.

We have an overpopulation crisis? There is still enough room for all of us humans

I don't see how people think that they can force their beliefs on other people. Why can't people respect that some women made poor choices, got pregnant, can't afford it, and then want to get an abortion so that there is no financial burden when they deliver their child. I mean, do you want a kid growing up in a hood, with shootings every week, or would you rather that kid not be born so he doesn't become on of those people in a drive-by and then have your tax dollars paying for his jail cell.

First of all, any law/legislation that is passed is the forcing of a belief on the people it governs.

your stance on the issues hints at the mothers having to keep the child once born. you can start as early as knowing you're pregnant to look for people who would like to adopt your child. These people really want a child b/c they themselves most likely can't have them. Some may even go as far as helping you with the payments... or even paying for the entire procedure. If you can't find a taker, then you don't even have to take the child home. You can leave the baby at the hospital and they'll take care of it and get the ball started w/ placing him/her. I've heard horror stories about that kind of life(mostly media)... but then I've heard great ones from personal friends too.

And I'd rather give the kid a chance at life. His/her choice as to whether or not they want to be a hood rat or a rags to riches story. ...but that's just me.

For the same reason that no one could respect a mother shooting her infant because she doesn't have the money to feed him/her. Abortion is, in a word, sick.

An already born child and the early stages of development are two entirely different things.

unless it was ****, then it didn't happen on accident. Birth control is known to fail. they have statistics for it. if you're old enough to use it... ur old enough to read. its own the packages. its in the media... saying you thought birth control was 100% effective will get people to laugh at you b/c that statement would be the epitome of stupid. Its probability... not an accident. ...and if you're not going to carry the human to term then you should have to pay for it yourself.

So is a child three months into the mother's pregnancy and a child six months into the mother's pregnancy. You cannot base a child's humanity on development, because it is growing and changing from conception to adolescence.

Exactly. People need to realize the risks and be willing to take responsibility for their actions if a pregnancy occurs.

That depends on the definition of humanity. If it requires conscious thought, then its not till something like 18 weeks that it develops that far(I think).
