The rapture will happen one day, but the inconvenient truth is that it cannot be predicted. I feel sorry for his followers who sold all of their stuff and blew all of their money on booze only to be dissapointed and left penniless.

another inconvenient truth is is that the rapture (according to lds doctrine) will be for everyone, but it will stay on earth and those who were followers will be in a higher glory than those who weren't followers. also, lds doctrine states hell is only for those who (in the mose basic term) see god, and still deny him. so in the end, everybody will be saved, but not everybody will be happy with what happens after.

Teaches them to follow such a guy blindly. I'm not saying I'm rejoycing their fate, but honestly that leaves me cold.

The word doctrine already doesn't sound all to good. What is that lsd doctrine you're talking about?

Sorry^^ so, mormon talk? Meaning, mormon doctrine I guess. Don't know much about it..
What is meant by 'being in a higher glory'? Does that mean people will have high esteem of them? Will they shine in a holy light? Or will they occupy a higher position somehow?

when I say higher glory, its exactly what it says. there are three tiers of glory in LDS teachings. the first is for those who have sinned heavily, like those who murder. the second is for those who didn't know about the gospel teachings, and the highest is for the ones who would like to learn or have learned and accepted the doctrines.

yes, it sounds strange, but that's LDS doctine.

Which pretty much sums up the entire religion, doesn't it?

Actually that seems to be a lie, since you have nothing to back it up. Now why would you think that no one can predict it?

These guys are not latter day. So this paragraph is as relevant as a random statement spouted about Cthulhu.

We have beasts in the arctic that can tame him.

It's been a while since we talked about mayans and superstitions... and no, the Mayan calendar doesn't even end in 2012, so no worries about that.

funny how god says tho shall not kill, but yet when this "rapture" comes he's sending almost 3/4 of the worlds population to hell?

Well that isn't ironic. He never had a commandment saying 'Oh, I won't kill either'.
Technically speaking, if he were to give life, it's his right to take it away.
The argument you could make is why its ironic that he says he's all forgiving and merciful, but he's sending so many to hell.
Yet, I think that's stupid, too. Being merciful/forgiving doesn't mean you just say 'Oh idc'.

"Do what I say, not as I do" Ah? How honorable of him...

So we are like his kids, correct? So by this logic, if I have a kid, I am aloud to kill it? So what about that case about the mother who killed her daughter or something that was around a little bit ago? Do you just shrug that off and say "Well she gave her life, its her right to take it away"?

No, but it does mean YOU DON'T TORTURE PEOPLE FOREVER. If you torture people forever, there is no possible way you can be considered merciful or forgiving.

in the bible it doesn't say the date, so you can't change it
