I highly doubt that there is anything we could tell you that you won't completely shun. You won't be rational about this. You are hoping that some minister would come to a game site to tell you, "Yes, the almighty Lord personally healed you that day!" I doubt that will happen.

He might get a few users to come by and tell him that.

He never exactly said he was healed, it's more like he said he felt better. A sore throat isn't exactly an injury or disease, and he said when he entered church that it felt better. This just supports my placebo theory.

And i could see this as being a placebo. By that i mean the person thinks he is being healed because he believes he is closer to god.

if im not wrong i think it was proven that hapiness and belief that you will get better actually helps to overcome a desease. so if your religios and are sure that the church will heal you then maybe it will (i think). whether the church actually heals you, i dont know and i dont think so. i think that if he wanted to heal you he wouldnt need you to go to church

Yep, like Master said that's the placebo effect. And I also think that this might be the source of your "healing" or maybe it was just the distraction.

Churches heal as much as you let them. If you have an emotional or spiritual attachment to them then you will feel a healing and peaceful feeling. If not, you're just in another building.

That still sounds like what 314d1 said about it either being a placebo effect or it just taking your mind off the pain.

if it did, how come the popes have died?

Ah... here come the trolls...

The popes died. You can't really cure that.

And besides, maybe some of them wanted to go to see the kingdom of heaven or something.

It is not trolling, it's an honest question. If the church could heal, why did several popes die from murder, disease and what not?

They died because everyone has to die eventually. All that matters is how and when. There will always be crimes hence the murders, and disease is something that will always be a problem for humans.

I don't think just walking into church could heal you. Usually though, if I lose something, there's this one saint who I'll pray to and I'll find what I was looking for within usually only a few minutes.

Its pointless to have expactations simple as that. What is more valueble for u is not important thus if u believe in GOD what he likes and his borders makes sense.Acting otherway and claiming eternal believe is nonsense.

NO

The only feeling I have ever felt when I walk into a Chruch is a feeling of extreme boredom and tiredness. There mighht be a slight placebo but other than that nothing.

Well, you're not a believer, aren't you?
I maybe don't like churches a lot, especially not modern ones, but I rather like the big cathedrales, old buildings often in gothic style. They're impressing buildings, even for atheists like me. But, "miraculous" healings and stuff has also happened outside of churches, and it's all either a fraud or placebo or a similar effect, that is simply fortified depending on the place you are/how you feel there.

Churches are amazing buildings and I love the way they look.

Other than that and as has been stated by a good few others here, Placebo.

The placebo effect can be more powerful than many drugs and just feeling positive is scientifically proven to speed recovery with sometimes amazing results. hence why animal contact is usually good for people in recovery, it raises the spirits.

Of course nothing grows your arm back, thats where the new transformers style robotic arm comes in to help you crush your enemies. Ahem, I mean live a more normal life and drink coffee.

Whatever you call the effect, life is an illusion. No need to name anything, use it what suits best to you and dont die before reaching your goals by proccessing in neutral perspective.Which is the very meaning of success in truth.
