In this thread I will be posting a new movie every Sunday. Before posting in this thread, I advise you to watch the movie. If you've already watched the move in the past, feel free to talk about it. We will talk about the movie. May it be about the storyline, the characters, the actors, etc.. You may also post your critique of the movie here.

For each movie I'll be posting a link to IMDb where you'll get a small description of the movie. I'll also be posting my own little description and critique of the movie.

As for the movies, they will be random. By that, I mean there is no certain genre I will stick with and these movies will be new and old.

I'll take recommendations for movies, but not in this thread. Leave a comment on my profile if you would like to recommend a movie.

I don't really understand all the hype this movie raised. It has good actors, nice special effects and it looks great, but I didn't like the plot. Definitely not the best film from Tarantino.

Oh well, I liked the idea of it, but it was very unscientific.

In the first few minutes of the movie, when they're taking the ice samples, when the one guy is falling, he slips, and an instant later he has his ice pick out. Seriously, how?

Well, they probably have that somewhere on them like on their hip or something in case something like that happens.
It had some good effects though (at least, for it's time), and the story was alright.

I agree. When I first saw it years ago the effects were amazing, and now it's okay, not that amazing from seeing many other new films.

I liked the movie but then again, I like most natural disaster movies with good effects (see 2012). The acting was okay but it lacked some realism. Like in the library, the ice was inching toward them and the fire they started saved them? Sure it did.

I like the South Park version better: Two Days Before the Day after Tomorrow

I think it happened later in the movie, too; can't remember where, though.

I think the part where the guy falls through the glass or something, not sure, I don't really pay much attention to stuff like that.

Yeah, they are exciting I suppose.

I find it amusing how they ended up at the statue of liberty in the ocean by traveling north from NJ with the guy's GPS.

The acting was okay but it lacked some realism. Like in the library, the ice was inching toward them and the fire they started saved them? Sure it did.

Yeah things like that are annoying. The little "OMG hurry!" moments were far too frequent and a bit irrational. If the air 5ft behind you is cold enough to freeze jet fuel instantly, how is your blood anywhere near warm enough for you to be moving?

It was good. At least a lot better than 2012, who is similar according some people.

I like ice.

I actually preferred 2012 over this one, just more exciting to me, even though I like the snow.

The real Frank Abagnale is a beast. The movie was quite accurate, but a little overdramatized sometimes.

I think I remember one part specifically, when he faked as an agent to pull some evidence from a scene. That was pretty awesome.

That's a funny part.

Well, he was pretty smart to pull all of this off then end up working for them.
