The First Match is over it was very close but in the end George Washington has beaten Napolean Bonaparte in one of the closest battles ever! what did you guys think? do you disagree with the match up? what did you think about the new battle system? tune in next Wednesday same time as Joan of Arc vs William the Conqueror who will win?
I'm very patriotic, so I'm quite happy with these results. I miss Max and the big red bush on his head, though. I'm not too fond of the ex-marine and the middle-aged computer recluse, either.

if max was the "computer whiz"... then he's gone, i'm kind of happy about that... he annoyed me. I still dont understand why they need the doctor though... Dr: "Yea, his head is gone... this injury would kill instantly"... thanks doc -.-" but i think season 3 is off to a good start, i noticed that they ran the simulations more than 1000 times, which i'm all for.. more data is always a good thing. I was really surprised that George Washington won though, the only thing he had going for him was the use of muskets AND rifles next weeks match up should be interesting... but unfortunately i wont be able to watch it :/ i cant call who will win.... i am ashamed to admit i know next to nothing about william the conqueror or joan of arc :/
When I was learning about the match-up, I did the same thing during the Pirate/Cartel match and just stayed out of it. Patriotism told me to go G-dubs, but common sense was yelling at me that Napoleon defeated nearly every European country over the course of a handful of years.
However, after the musket and rifle test, I was all for Washington winning, and then he did! w00t! I'm happy the match was close though, a close match shows a good match-up in terms of quality.

William the Conqueror comes from Normandy, made famous by two huge events, the D-Day invasions, and the 1066 conquests of England.
The Vikings used to pillage 11th century Normandy until they installed a King, made him pay taxes to the ruthless warriors, and then started invasions on England. In 1066, William led his Norman army to England and ruled for many years, before becoming known as "William The Fat" and growing many pods of pus on him. ew.
Joan of arc is made famous for being a 14 year old Norman girl who helped overthrow the English king who took power in the new kingdom. she was eventually sentenced to death, but Normandy left the union with England, and quickly joined the kingdom of France.
I choose Joan in this one, simply because William's battle with Henry of England was very close, doubled with the fact that Henry had to fight the Vikings off a month before the invasion of the Normans, and then had to march his entire army down the length of England very quickly, tiring out his troops. This low-quality of troops coupled with the fact that Joan of Arc was able to hold her own for so long makes Joan the better warrior.

WOW, I am really surprised that Joan of Arc won, like I know she had a better cannon and crossbow, but William had better tactics and he was way stronger then her. Also William had 50 years of battle experience.
