I'm not sure how well this thread will go, but here it is anyway. Click to hear the story. It freaks me out, because I was just at a small summer camp this week. It wasn't nearly as big as the youth camp, but this story still freaks me out. I can't imagine what families are going through right now. My heart and prayers goes out to anyone who was affected by this terrible tragedy. Please read all of this article.
He shouldn't die. He should be tortured, his life made into a living Hell for the rest of his days. May he live long to suffer, if that is the case.
If not tortured, he should get the death penalty.
Then we will be just like him. Killers. We shouldn't inflict pain upon him. Hell, imo we shouldn't even incarcerate him. Maybe just send him away. There are still plenty of small islands around the world.
Just sending him away would be foolish, prison is imo the more sensible thing. But I agree that 'an eye for an eye' is never a good thing, even less in penal affairs. Torturing people only because they have killed is a sick thing. Death penalty is imo not justified if it's only for the sake of punishment; if it's for safety reasons, go for it.

I almost completely agree. Except for the last sentence. Sending someone to meet their maker is never justified. At one point, you were both babies being held by happy parent(s). Neither one should have the right to kill the other.
It's more then that. Norway always had a relatively strong radical right. Today altough Norway is almost 100% Norwigian, there is still a lot of Nazis.
I heard he his motive was to prove that nobody is safe (including Norway) from terrorist attakcs. America thought the same thing, then 9/11 happened. And I'm probably dead wrong, but wasn't there some other massacre in Norway sometime in the late 1900's? I mean anytime after the 50's when I say this.
srry for late reply didn't saw it.
no nothing like this has happend in norway for atleast 100 year. (maybe in ww2, lots of documents of that time are secret)
and america didn't think it was safe from terrorist attacks befor 9/11. befor 9/11 it was just not as big of a hype to call evrything a terrorist action. 9/11 was not the 1st time that there was a attack on the WTC. it's just that people didn't think that other people could have such sick ideas to get a plane and fly it into a building. (it works great tho ^^)
A Nowegian. I don't know if that was joke or not but if so, now's definitely not the time for cracking jokes. That's how the Aflac guy who voiced the duck got fired.
Killing the convicted man does not justify what that man has done. All that killing does is make people feel like they have gotten revenge. But if you look at the situation would killing him be any better than when he killed the other people?
This is pretty old news and not accurate. As turtleman said, the death toll is now at ninety-two. All they know about the gunman is that he had a very small criminal record and is a right-wing extremist.
I'm shocked that his penalty is just twenty-one years in jail. That seems to be such a low penalty for so heinous a crime. When you consider that a man actually got a 10,000 year life sentence for a triple murder...
One why do you attack Norway and Two the only reason terrorists attacked Norway was because they were about to export a radical Imam. But still thats no good reason to attack a Norwegian city.
