So, in the bible, it talks (in at least one instance that i can remember) about a man being possessed by a demon. In modern society, people go to cathlioc(im sorry, i cant spell) churchs claiming their possessed/a friend takes them there/a priest comeing to their house to exorcise them(one again, cant spell). I believe "true believes" cannot be possessed by demons, as the holy spirit within them drives that out. I want to know what everyone else thinks about the topic, like for instance, what people that arnt christian think is wrong with those people, and such. Please refrain from qouteing this "aragraph" to tell me that i said something that isnt completely exact to your standerds, or that im completely missing the point in [insert thing here]. I want to know what you think, not whats wrong with this topic, so please, discuss, or go ahead and tell me all the things i did wrong with makeing this thread so i can go and make sure not to read it. If there is already is a thread similar to this, please post a link, and have a moderator/admin lock this.
Hello there Darth. My name is Chillz, and I'll be Your Friendly Neighborhood Satanist for today.
Satan is simply trying to reclaim what is rightfully his. He was wrongly stricken down to Hell by his brother Micheal, and the followers of this fallen God are obeying their master, gaining him ground on the mortal plain.
It's no big deal, we're only mortals, we can't be held accountable for our decisions when our inferior mindset is compared to those of the Divines.
now to address the post...
I believe "true believes" cannot be possessed by demons, as the holy spirit within them drives that out.
Is not is possible that the Father and the Son are wrong, and the Holy Spirit is the only of the Three that acknowledges and sympathizes with Lucifer, realizing his ideas of total salvation was superior to Michael's flawed Lord?
Satan believed that the ****ed should not be, that all mortals should be Saved, reason being similar to why many people respond to children's antics as "Oh, they're just kids". Satan had that mindset, that "They're just mortals, they don't know any better, all should be Saved"
Of course, God wouldn't have that, he sent the ArchAngel Micheal, Lucifer's brother, to dispose of the rebellious angel. Lucifer raised an army of followers, and did battle with the other two-thirds of heaven. Outnumbered, Lucifer was forced to rule the plain of Hell, caretaking over those he had once tried to Save. His followers became corrupted, angels became demons, and Lucifer began his campaign to Heaven.
Only the Holy Spirit acknowledges that all should be Saved, Demons and the ilk work to bring the mortals to Satan's cause, more souls for Him means more loyal soldiers for the eventual campaign on Heaven.
Well about 1% of everyone on earth has schizophrenia. So they has to be some catholics with it. Technically there should be about 200,000,000 christians with schizophrenia. So I'm surprised there arn't more possesion stories. I'm not really one to belive in demons, so I wouldn't know. There could always be things you haven't thought of that explains things. But if you're sure that something is wrong whoes to tell you it isn't?
typeing this on my dsi, so it wont be a very good response. @chillz, the way your talking,it sounds like your trying to âconvertâ me. But, as far as i can tell, you never stated WHY the devil wants to possess us/his demons possess us. Also, the majority of people i talked to said it was scytzafrenia (cant spell it, to hard to look on how to spell it on my dsi), i guess you guys agree. I will post a better response tomarrow, when i hace acsess to the computer.
I'll agree with MGW on this one. There were a lot of mental diseases that were until recently unexplainable. It could've been seizures that trigger involuntary muscle movement. That would explain why those 'osessed people' had no memory of what they did. It could've been MPD (multiple personality disorder) and one of the alternates was violent.
Oh another thing about demons, my mom was just telling me about a Catholic friend of hers who believes that the religious crosses she puts over her doorways keep the demons out. I immediately thought "but if one is already in the house, don't the crosses mean it can't escape?" Demon in the house walks to the door, looks up, sees the cross, starts cussing, turns around.
@emporer, it being a demon, a unholy divine spirit, im pretty sure it can just walk through a wall, or a back door, or fly out of the roof.
Yes, the logic that a talisman over a door can block is flawed, yet people do it. Can anyone explain why? My guess is that it's like a kid holding a blanket or a toy (makes them feel better/safer).
Nope, as far as I know dair5, EmperorPalpatine and Jefferysinspiration are all Christians (correct me if I'm wrong).
I'm more or less agnostic. That way I can be logical and give objectable points for all sides of a topic. Like if someone's strictly Christian or Athiest, both will discredit Hinduism or Greek/Roman gods, for example, I can choose to support or discredit those beliefs if I feel the need to.

Do I really need to explain how agnosticism isn't a position of belief again?

Well, my dad is athiest, my mom is JW. If I pick either of those strictly I'm screwed. If I pick atheist, my mom would go ape on me. If I pick JW, my dad would disown me. If I pick a different religion, both would be mad at me. Therefore, I'm not strictly anything.
