Why can't we just solve everything non-violently?

There will always be ******** on this world and therefore there will always be war on this world.

Preventive strike.

there should be some good reasons to do a preventive strike.
unless there are seriusly good reasons, preventive strike just means that you start the war.

Aggressive territorialism is an inherited trait from a past part of evolution. Aggressive territorialism is what drives war, and our common link from way back when also had a splash, or perhaps a very strong, sense of war. How do we know? Chimps. Chimpanzees have been going at it for ages, and we've pretty much proven that they kill specifically, with tactics (single file patrols in enemy territory) and hunting the enemy down. Once they have killed enough of the opposite party's chimps, they make a land grab that expands their territory to borders they choose, thus giving them more food and places to mate.

Few other creatures actively do this, but humans and chimps both do it and we are very closely related. There's some pretty strong evidence right there.

The only reason we're better at it is because we have guns.

Well, here's how it works. Person 1 and Person 2 disagree. Both think that they are right, so they argue. Then one of them gets so mad he kills the other. The relatives of the deceased decide to gang up and kill the murderer. Then the murderer says it was justified and gets his family, and they all kill each other. Then it just gets bigger. This is only one way, there are others. But it all begins with an argument. For example, Pearl Harbor was part of why we started WWII. Sometimes there's no argument, just "retaliation". And also in WWII, it was about "world domination" for Hitler and &quotreventing world domination" for everyone else.

By the way, war itself isn't necessary. The only time it happens is when someone thinks it is.

We don't need war. The only reason we have wars is do to our human nature. It really goes down to our ancient survival instincts of "kill or be killed".

Money, resources, power, land, distraction from internal political problems, religion, differrent ideologies,

These are the modern equivalent to our survival instincts. (note: I did not add self defence since that does not cause a war to start)

in WWII, it was about "world domination" for Hitler

hitler didn't want world domination. he only needed more land for his plan to kill all jews. if hitler wanted world domination then he didn't had allies. but he did had a few. italy and japan are known but secretly also ireland and turkey.

(turkey was helping hitler whit the Massacre of Distomo andKalavryta in greece. ireland was holding german U-boats and there was a german base for espionage and strategic scouting. located in ireland)

Surprisingly, Hitler wanted more than just to kill all the Jews. As far as I know, he was going for European domination, and probably would have betrayed his allies like he did Russia.

yes he wanted europe and a large part of asia (devided between germany and japan. and africa was for italy.
atleast thats what i learned about it in school. it's indeed likely that he will betray them. but it luckly never came that far so we will never know for sure.

So does this mean that Earth can't be taken over by robots? If robots don't have the urge to be on top then they won't start a war, right?

One of the most amazing things about Adolf Hitler is that he, personally, did not kill people. He talked. He caused the genocide of millions of Jews simply through WORDS.

That's partially incorrect. Hitler was a soldier in the first world war.

You know what he meant. Besides, it's not likely that he killed more than 10 people when he was a soldier.

Yes, I know what he meant, I was just mentioning a slight correction. Also, maybe he was so anti Judaism after he lost one of his balls in the war...
