Games. Minecraft has proven their art. Crysis has proved it's not a cash-in market. You have proven they're the best form of entertainment to be had.

But tell me, whether it was roaming Rapture and scavenging for enough materials to get the explosive Bucks to kill that Big Daddy,

Or battling Colossi after Colossi to try and save the one you love,

Or practicing long and hard before taking on "Freebird" on Expert,

Maybe exploring the vastness of the galaxy and evolving your species throughout time and getting ready to fight the Grox,

Building your Civilization from the ground up,

Conquering Rome for the name of Germania,

Smiting the 1000 Heartless

Living with your Porphyric Hemophilia throughout all of Oblivion (vampirism)

Perfecting your technique before flawlessly getting that one awesome Assassination

Gathering the force of Ironheade to liberate the land

Maybe it was something entirely different, but tell Your Friendly Neighborhood Satanist, what was the greatest journey you ever had in a game, where when you finished, you couldn't help but look back on all you've done to reach that point.

Just Cause 2 for YFNS; so many adventures across the nation of Panau, it was a stunt-filled journey I advise anyone to take. All the challenges, the memorable missions, hilarious accents, simply wonderful. 8^)

most any fallout gives me the best journey and completing it gives me a small sense of fulfillment but i am (and probably the only on armorgames) fallout fanboy.

I'm with ya! Fallout 3 was great for roleplaying (most of Bethesda's RPGs are) and I really loved Oblivion! My Favorite Journey was becoming a vampire after fearing them my (character's) whole life, and scowring the province for all the bloodsucking creatures that ruined my life! :P

Fable I, the aesthetic of it, the music in the backround, the style of the people in it, and the morality involved which I.... just loved man.

I'm fairly upset that Fable II went forward 500 years, the style of folklore in Fable I was phenomenally immersive, with the story structure working excellently and abilities / weapons / Augments / combat systems working beautifully (even though the use of Spells was kind of difficult).

The best thing? The difficulty is what you make it, you can limit yourself from buying a certain ability or advancing a trait like Guile to a specific point, getting to the point of making a class for yourself.
Assassin = Magic Arrow, Ghost Sword, Assassin Rush, full Agility, Crossbow, and Dark Clothes that you can get.
I would go and say more, but you get the idea, Mag. Arrow, Ghost Sword, Assas. Rush are all magical abilities, but hey, they're cool :P

I have to say that I am torn between Sora's journey through the darkness and back and the tale of Vann and Balthier's crew and their quest to save all of Ivalice. Both of these stories were deeply immersive for me, drawing me back time and time again.

Though all said and done, my heart does hearken back to my travails across Hyrule, to save the sages, battling across the land, under the water and throughout time.

I liked playing FO3 along with the DLCs took me quite some time though.

I wish NV's DLCs were better. Though the newest one was ok.

And the weapons of Honest Hearts was really good, eg the .45 SMG (tommy gun).

I loved Fallout 3 with the expansion packs. I've never played the other fallouts, but mark my words, if the disc hadn't broken on me (probably from dozens of 8-12 hour play sessions) I wouldn't be here. I would be playing that absolutely beautiful game!

Minecraft is a great adventure to learn, create, and explore; however, for me it is third.

Second for me is Super Mario Galaxy. The ideas, story, and levels are just so amazing, as is the gameplay. I had a major dismal feeling after I beat it.

First, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. So many unique challenges and levels; long, but not overly so; perfect to trade off with a friend every so often (which I did). Just an epic game.

Personally, it was Shemnue II. That was probably the game of my childhood, you could do so much and all the characters felt alive - at the time. It was amazing, the more I advance in the game the more I understood, it felt like I was just a step away then a huge cliff is there in front of me. But the best part was overcoming them, the only thing I hated was the end - I RAGED SO HARD! It ended in a cliff hanger and Shemnue III is no where to be found (last time I checked).

But really it took me months to beat that game, found the story line Easter eggs and everything. I'm up to buy Shemnue III as soon as it comes out, heck I'll even buy the system for it as well.

I think what I had the best time beating was shadow of the colossus, What little dialog it had it really had a good touch on the game, not to mention the whole twist . I felt a sorry for killing the giants innocent beast(s), and the music that played when you finally climbed up the colossus always sent a feeling of accomplishment. I think, Im going to dig up my old PS2 now....
