And last time I checked, at least 8 deaths. Irene has already gone too far. >:[

And how many are actually hurricane related? Last night I read of 4 fatalities, 1 old man had a heart attack, 2 people in a car crash and 1 man was hit by a falling tree. of those 4, 1 is hurricane related. The media blew all of this out of proportion (shocker, i know) I slept right threw the "storm of the century" and there is no damage to my house and I still have power. Only a few areas were really effected, Manhatten isn't underwater

I know that now. But the place that wasn't really affected was new york city. But parts of upper new york, pennslyvania, and some more have experienced flash flooding.

So much for that power outage. the power tripped a few times during the night, but no long term power outage. Although my county does have quite a few power outages reported.

Wow, what happened to AG forums? This thread does not have some religious nutjob spewing babble about how this is gods divine retribution for all the sinners in America.

Good job AG. I am proud.

The current level of intelligence in the average user on AG is too low for them to try to hold any argument, regardless of how stupid it is.

Aside from almost making my pool overflow (almost), there was literally no damage in my neighborhood. It was raining hard all night and most the morning, but the winds weren't powerful enough to do any damage.

That's almost sad. I used to be able to get on here and have long drawn out arguments over three pages with people on religious stuff...

I guess these young whippersnappers are just to **** stupid. I blame the hurricane.

I don't think the last storms had this either? But then again, any person who does view the storm, a proven-natural occurrence, should definitely sign themselves into the funny farm. But then again again, how many times does this happen in proportion to the "other" responses? You have little faith in AG and its users, Valkery ;D

funny farm

So that's what there calling it now a days...

It was a tropical storm by the time it hit me and many people thought that there was going to be less flooding and it wasn't going to rain as much to bad they didn't know hurricanes are judged by wind speed.
