any one else on the 360 have trouble getting a game? i am at the main menu and click multiplayer and it keeps saying disconneted from ea servers. i played 1 game, but disconnected during the middle of it. is ea going to fix this??
I think because it is a beta that the multiplayer servers are off, since it's not commercially distributed yet. Perhaps they only wish the regular playing be tested and their servers for BF3 need to be tweaked/developed?
Yesterday they were working on the servers for the Battlefield 3 Beta, but I do find it hard to connect to the servers at some moments because there is so many people playing.
Hey, I know the servers are off an etc but atm my time isn't being taken up by much, I tried to Download the Beta but a problem occurs when I try to login with my Origin Account and it says "Sorry, this service is temporarily unavailable".
Can someone give me the heads up as to what this means, please?
Aside from that, from what I've seen on the Beta it seems pretty solid, I saw a 387m headshot with a silenced Sniper Rifle - not a bad shot. I was going to link it, but then I found this one instead.
I don't think BTF 3 is so great from the Beta. For me it is just another basic shooter. But that may be my fault since I lost interest in FPS games a time ago.
It works now, although you probably figured it out already. Disappointed in the beta, still pretty fun, but Bad Company 2 looks better so far. Then again, I can only play Operation Metro, playing it on the console. Operation Metro is horrid. What happened to vehicle warfare?

I think it's an iterative shooter - not a revolutionary one. If anything, the last revolutionary shooter for Battlefield was Bad Company 1, because it brought in such a huge aspect. BF3 takes lessons learnt from both Bad Company's and Battlefield 2, to make an ultimate game.
It's just kind of annoying to see you can't blow that much up in Operation Metro - defeats the purpose of having so much capabilities with destruction.
Its identical to bf2 .-. i'll dont buy it, waste of money
No idea where you got that from.
Operation Metro isn't exactly what I like, it's static and fun in a way because it is something you can learn to get used to and has excellent transitioning.
Which brings me to another problem - lack of a good class system. I have, effectively four classes, but when I want to change my Assault to be long range with a 4x Zoom, a Heavy Barrel and maybe a Bipod instead into one with a Suppressor and a Flashlight, it's such a pain to change it. I'd like it if you could make preset classes so you can quickly change through fights without worrying that your Flashlight is more of a hinderance than anything because you need to be on the field to defend A very quickly.
And I hate the fact that they use the Rush gametype. For me Battlefield was a game with long maps loaded with vehicles but where infantry was needed. Rush makes it look like CoD a little little bit, because of the rushing and small combat fights.
I played the beta at my friend and it seemed awesome, made me want to buy a PS3 or a better computer. I'm getting tired of not being able to play anything but flash games and my ancient PS2 and PS1 games. If I had enough money I'd preorder BF3 and buy something to play it with right now.
Just downloaded Battlefield 3 demo for my PS3, for god sake, it's cool! Incredible animations, sounds, voices and it's like a real war. (More war, than MW3)
