Kind of. Basically agnostic atheists are typically considered "Soft" while gnostic are considered "Hard", from my understanding. That is kind of a simple way to put it...

If a god or gods were hypothetically proven, atheists would still exist. Most atheists, however, are agnostic atheists and would believe. Your standard agnostic is an atheist, but there are plenty of agnostic theists.

you know what I believe. I believe that when a scientist proves something in the bible can actually happen, it makes me that much more inclined to believe that god could easily do it. for example, a while ago, someone proved that the red sea parting is actually possible, but not the same way the bible describes it. it was more like the water being pushed away in one direction, than being split down the middle.

agreed, but this thread is a mixture of religion, and atheism. there is a good chance that you will make absolutely no headway in either direction.
