I have just watched the news and greece might be declaring war. you know what this means. France and Germany would go to war with italy and greece and it would be world war ll all over again. tell me you thoughts and opinions and feel free to express them

I make this one short, greece won't try anything. it's in too much of a financial hole to do so. if they did anyway, the EU would pound greece into dust, and then squeeze the money they loaned to greece out like an orange on a juice maker.

Correction: There won't be much to squeeze after a war.
Being Greek myself, I can tell you for sure there is no way Greece will be declaring war anytime soon. Even though Greece indeed has a relatively good army,most likely the #1 naval force in the EU or the world (can't recall which one) and having the 2nd best aerial force in the world (after the US,again,I'm not sure about the facts) will not be declaring war at NO time soon for 4 obvious reasons. 1: The present government won't last for more than 1 week most likely. 2: There is no money to fund a war(which is kind of a joke,as there is a massive source of petrol,gas and other natural resources just below Crete,being the world's 3rd "richest" area,of a price close to 10 trillion euros. No idea why they're not being used,I know there was a deal Greece made with the US a long time ago,that basically suggested these resources not being used,that expired last year. 3: The morale could never be any worse,and Greece isn't really the country to start wars,it mostly defends itself when there Is a war. 4: Nobody is crazy enough here to start a war which could easily end with one atomic bomb from either the US or Germany,or even France...

Hate to burst your bubble but the Greek Navy's largest ships are frigates, paltry when you compare to the carriers, cruisers and destroyers that Britain and France has. The Greek Navy's total tonnage is 150,000 tons, a single British Queen Elizabeth class carrier weighs in at 65,000 tons.

Again false, the Royal Air Force has nearly 1000 aircraft, Greece has half of that number.

Take a look at the figures of proven reserves again. Greece is ranked 89th. Again, where do you get your figures?

After a thing such as the EU or NATO were invented,there is highly doubtful to be a war of a global scale. Wars are all economical now... It is true though that a global scale war would wipe off all of the human kind,and almost all other organic forms of life...

It has nuclear plants; which does not mean it has nuclear weapon capabilities. It takes specialised technology to build bombs, of which Germany does not have access to. Also, atomic bombs are half a century old and obsolete since the Greek air force can shoot a plane delivering such a bomb.

Not really a WW. Could you please make speculation as to who the biggest armies would side with? I mean, if those 4 countries went at it with each other, which I don't think they will anytime soon, who would countries like Britain, USA, and Russia side with? We can assume Britain and US would be a package and might as well put Japan in the mix as well. China might jump in just for fun.
when did china ever start or joined a war for the fun of it? they even had a "good" reason to invade tibet. i realy doubt that china likes war. it is only protecting itself.
as for the comment about germany and france declaring war on greece for their money? 1st what money? greece is broke. italy is close to being broke. 2nd at most the EU will kick greece out of the euro. then greece will have even bigger problems and the EU wont care any longer about them. wich would be good because i will make a example of greece towards italy, spain and portugal. aswell as the rest of europe. that they need to keep themself whit the european law. or els? or els greece

I was actually pointing out that they do have the ability to change the outcome of a war, not that they would really jump in for the heck of it. But only if they truely wanted to or cared, which I doubt they would.

Are you blatantly ignoring our posts? Germany does not have nukes as forbidden in the Treaty of Brussels.
