I want all of you to post your thoughts of bullying, and get all of your pains of being bullied out right here. It is time that these forums actually do something good. Getting all of it out actually helps, a lot. I myself am bullied, and i know that it is not fun. Get it out here, we're all ears, and at this time, it is important to be in good spirits. Who knows, this thread could change somebody's life. If you can post anything, i would be grateful for your time.
i think any living creature will react differently in those situation.
This is very true, I was not discounting animals of other types from this, but it seems that humans have shown traits from an incredible range of species. In this way, I see humans as different and because of our extreme self conciousness and power, we have a responsibility to see why humans feel the need to bully and put an end to this suffering that squashes so many peoples confidence that could lead to the advancement of the human race... whew!
Bullies derive from insecurity, their anger and violence is never the victim's fault. If it was, it'd be like saying "that guy's a jerk because that other guy's parents are nice' It usually comes from problems at home, or failing grades or even a missing parent
Not to say that this isn't true most of the time, there are also those people who are just mean because that's who they are.
Also, humans are not, by nature, bullies. Thats a gross generalisation. You will find most bullies have serious issues at home, usually in the form of physical or verbal abuse.
I agree with both statements on this one, but I would go more along with kasic's. we humans (like so many other animals) had the urge to fight for dominance hardwired into us, but modern society has done a lot to suppress that. it's only when certain circumstances (insecurity, home problems, etc.) are met does that urge revive itself. when it's revived, it uses the rush of dominance received from controling another human being in order to feed itself, which will allow it to grow stronger more quickly. it more or less becomes an addiction over time, and like addictions, it will never truly go away.
