Well a lot of people have been telling me evolution is real. They give me the most craziest surreal 'facts'. Has anyone discovered any fish with legs? Any humans with gills or fins? If you put all the pieces of a watch into you're pocket and shake it around for trillions of years, will it ever become a watch? Is there but one possibility? Or if you completely dismantle a chicken and a fish, and put it into a box, shaking it around for trillions of years. Will it ever become a fish with wings? or a chicken with fins? :l
You asked for scientific evidence for creation? Here it is.
Ah yes. I assume you got that from Macfan? He tried posting that on here a while ago, although it was in parts and not a 2 hour thing.
Anyways, he doesn't provide facts. He states conclusions drawn from facts and then says they're dumb. He doesn't say how they are, or why, just that the Bible says otherwise and so they are wrong. Bias? Yes. Scientific proof against evolution? No.
Sorry, guess not. Ignore that then. I had just thought that since you've got that whole Christian group going and macfan was apart of it, and last I saw was macfan calling for an all out attack on this thread he gave you that link.

There was this scientist who came to a camp I was attending. He gave some explanations on why evolution isn't true. Now if I could just remember his name...... Oh wait my mother is a teacher, she can tell me why evolution isn't real.
Sigh. There is no, "not real" about it. It has been proven. AT THE VERY MOST you might find a flaw in parts of it, like maybe how fast it can occur, or something like that. We've proven it through the fossil index, ring species, and micro-evolution. As well as it just makes sense. Things change. So why shouldn't living things?
Oh wait my mother is a teacher, she can tell me why evolution isn't real.
It is real, there are facts, it has been/is being observed, it is used all the time in the industry and medicine, and I have yet to see any convincing paper about a possible creation. You know, a real paper with a hypothesis, methods, results and discusison, with data, experiments, observations, references, all that. Until now the only thing I've seen are the same dudes making assumptions. You can make as much assumptions you want, but they're no evidence, they're nice stories at best.
And no offence meant, but I doubt your mother could disprove it on her own.
Let me give you something to think about. If I'm wrong and there is no god, then the worst that can happen to me when I die is I just go into the ground. But if you are wrong and there is a god the worst that can happen to you is an eternity in hell. So either way you can't win and I can't lose.
But if you are wrong and there is a god the worst that can happen to you is an eternity in hell. So either way you can't win and I can't lose.
1) Pascal's Wager is false. There's more options than just Christianity vs nonbelief. What if the real way is Judaism? Or Isalm? Or Hinduism? Or Jainism? Or some undiscovered religion? You can't put a statistic to that. You are just as much at "risk" as I am.
2) I don't believe hell exists, so to me that's an idle threat. Like saying a giant purple banana will squish me tomorrow.
3) Why is the "worst that can happen to you" that you go into the ground, but not for me? If you're wrong and hell exists, you would go there too.
4) What does this have to do with the validity of evolution?

Pascals wager, huh. You knew it is an invalid argument? It completely ignores all other religions out there. If you're going with probabilities, there is no, and I say no, 'safe side'. With all the different religions, and all the different denominations, of which a big part will send all others to hell, whatever you believe in is always more probable to punish you than to reward you.
All I can do is try to tell you the truth. If you refuse to listen, then there is nothing more I can do. But I rest usured that your blood will not be on my hands.
"If you're wrong and hell exists, you would go there too."
no, god will forgive us for our sins of not believing in god. (what a stupid meaningless sin anyway) and so we will go to heaven aswell =) and god and i will have a good laugh over how i lived my life as a non-believer.
I do believe that hell exists so if it is real I would be right, not wrong.
i do believe that the power rangers are real. if they are real i would be right, not wrong.

No, because Christianity isn't the only religion that believes in Hell (Or some form of eternal punishment)
If you had the wrong religion, and the chances of that are staggering as there have been hundreds of thousands (What's that tell you? That anyone can make stuff up) are insanely small. You'd have a better chance of winning the lottery. Except that if you lose the lottery you aren't eternally punished.
All I can do is try to tell you the truth.
How do you know it's the truth? What makes you think that?

It's not the truth, it's your belief. Fine for me, but keep it to yourself. Also, spare me your false sense of compassion; I don't need it. I'm fine without.
Now, if you've got anything to add on evolution, be welcome, if not, move on.
