It seems that Kim Jong Il has died, most likely leaving his son Kim Jong Un in charge of North Korea.
As this is a forum for discussion I was thinking we could talk about how this might effect the world and the foreign relations between North Korea and other countries.
I'm not really sure what to say about the topic, as I know little about Kim Jong Un or even if he really is in charge now. I would guess this could cause some problems, but as for the scope I couldn't say.
Lol, I think the brain washing part is what North Korea is famous for. Still, North Korea isn't crazy (I know how that sounds, but still.). Kim Jong-Il's death shook everyone awake. The US is on high alert. If North Korea tries something now, they will be defeated. Many casualties, yes, considering the nuclear weapons North Korea stocked up for the past years, but an actual 'attack' would be pure suicide.
I just read an article about the "speech" given to the North Koreans by their leaders and their is in the speech a difference between Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un. Because in the speech there was a lot of focus on the political party and less on the army, which is different from his father who let the political party on the background and put the army in the spotlight. I'm not saying it is a sign of change, it is just something I read. I could give a link but not many people here are Dutch.
Kim Jong Un is apparently one of the world most mysterious leaders; no one knows his sexuality, marital status, or even his age! And apparently he is "just like his father," he is also into American movies etc. But I have to say; he is one ugly kid XD
