That people think their religion will always be right no mattar what. That they think atheists are satanists, those kinds of things. If people were in general more tolerant and empathetic, and thought about what it would be like to be in the other person's shoes then these things wouldn't happen. Of course there are the expceptions to the rule, like some denominations of a religion encourage trying to get other people to join. Though I don't see the big deal with this as long as they're non-violent, even I've had people try to get me to join their religion. While it's annoying I respect their right to try to do so. It doesn't really hurt me.

Maybe his tone sounds different since English isn't your first language. That's not the impression I got at all.

So yeah, he was saying that a lot of people think that Atheists = Satanists. Not himself.
English is my first language, though not officially.
And I know he's not referring to himself, but the way he was going on about atheists, was that people think that atheists are evil/bad/undesirable, using the word satanist in a way that sounds pejorative.

People do think that and figure anyone who dosen't believe in God must be on Satan's side, because they use the reasoning of 'You're either with us or you're against us'.
[quote]Oh, and don't forget '*insert your quote here* and if you're against us, we will mock you forever and ever and kick you ***.'[quote]
...we christians may do that (and I'm rather ashamed that we do, for it only causes more strife), but everyone is entitled to their opinions. besides, that's only the crazy ones like the ones in westborro baptist that actually do that. the vast majority of christians really could care less about what you believe, just as long as you aren't a suicide bomber (as a muslim, christian, or jewish person, this applies to all faiths. don't bomb youself for religious reasons, it's just not smart).
Well the only person that's religious in my whole family would have to be my mom yet we all keep our opinions to ourselves me my dad and my brother are atheist but in our community where almost all atheists and since I have heterochromia I used to be stared at like I wasn't welcome and , what church is correct they all fight with each other beliefs.
