I'm sure you people here other people cuss everyday, and i'm sure you've probably done some as well. One day when I was playing basketball with other teens they prey much said all kinds of words: "Come on man shoot that **** shoot that ****!" "He ain't gonna **** that ****!" "yeah baby! That's what i'm ***** talking about" "You ****!"

Every single sentence has vulgar. Doe's no one have common sense? Cussing is not a way of life. I'm sick of hearing stuff like that! The world is not a vulgar land.

What do you people think? Should the world be full of swearing? Or should we just have some common sense and stop with the cussing?
Really people, I'm sick of vulgar.

vulgar words can help. put a finger in a cup of hot coffe, but without saying something vulgar. put your finger again in the hot coffe, but say a vulgar word this time. there is a difference.

I've seen some person who did that at some coffe shop, he started cussing so much that the manager had to ask him to leave. Then he starts cussing out the manager, the manager gets mad I almost thought there was going to be a brawl. Luckily, the guy had some common sense and left.

The F word (From Merriam Websters and I got to say I was surprised it was in there);

They actualy define quite a few cus words in there. Something like "Crap", actualy thats not really considered a cuss word, but it's related to the harsher "S" word. These words usualy mean poop.

because he was in pain, you call him a senseless fool? he was mad and angry, and I also know for a fact that people are entitled to free speech (yes, it applies even in that situation). granted, he should've done it somewhere else, but we tend not to think about that when extremely hot liquids spill on our skin. chances are, you probably will do something similar.

Just because your in pain doesn't mean you can go cussing in a coffe shop. He was causing discomfort to the other customers so the manager had to ask him to leave. The guy was cussing at every little thing. He even cussed at some child trying to keep him from crying after yelling. I think I should have mentioned the child earlier.

That example is quite extreme.. put your finger in a hot cup of coffee, and most people will just let go one single expression, and that's it. That's ok right? Or is it too much for you too?

it's too much for me sometimes. But for some odd reason I don't yell so loud. I just say "ouch" And shake my hand back and forth. Of course I drank hot chocolate though.

It also stirs up anger.

It's the result of anger, not the catalyst.

To many people I know cussing is harsh. It's wrong and it shouldn't be said. Jeez how can you people not understand that it is wrong?Haven't any of your parents said not to use vulgar?

. It's wrong and it shouldn't be said.

Why is it wrong.

Jeez how can you people not understand that it is wrong?

Because morality is entirely subjective. It depends 90% on how you were raised and 10% of your own variations on it. If you were raised in a culture where bonking someone on the head was a greeting, then it wouldn't be wrong to go around bonking people on the head.

Why? You keep saying it's wrong, and then saying it's wrong because this person (wether it be parent, famous person, shop owner) says it's wrong. Why is it wrong?

Jeez how can you people not understand that it is wrong?

Jeez, how can you not understand it is okay?

Haven't any of your parents said not to use vulgar?

Not all parents do this, and parents aren't always right.

Actually, it's probably more "wrong" to do this, because it can cause physical harm.

Cursing doesn't really do anything. It's how people react to it. I could wear a bright pink shirt to school, and if someone -really- didn't like guys to war pink and attacked me for it, is it the shirt's fault? Is it my fault? No, it's the attacker's fault for have an unreasonable, irrational reaction to something which is harmless.

I've been taught not to swear as a child, I don't really swear a lot still yet, and I know when not to; but I also know when it's ok, I've learned (by myself) that in the right company it is no problem.
If I know someone really doesn't like it, I don't. But that doesn't mean that it's wrong per se. What is wrong is to overuse it, even in swearing you need a certain feeling of when it's too much, a bit of common sense. That doesn't mean that it's always wrong.

Well, here's how I look at it.

It's wrong to cause others discomfort.
Society in general disdains the use of vulgarity in public.
Some people find vulgarity offensive.

Keeping these in mind, I do not swear unless I know that doing so will not cause discomfort to those around, in public, or in areas where people will find it offensive. I still don't swear often, because I personally view swear words as the most extreme way of putting something.

Like...good, great, awesome, perfect are different extremes of the same meaning, darn, crap, ****, and then **** are also different extremes.

I personally find it annoying when people overuse words. However, this isn't limited to swearing. Someone who curses every other word is just as annoying to me as someone who says "like" or "uh" every other word.
