I've been seeing an increase in the dedication of the adbots. (seriously, there are like 20 threads in WEPR and VG about live stream on your PC.) What happened to cause an increase? All this happened about 10 minutes ago.
It can't just go on with people spamming and advertising and then the mods clearing it up, it just goes on and on. Something more substantial should be done but I guess there is not much that can be done.
The admins can IP ban the bots, so no alts can be created, but you know, admins being busy...
You know that annoying box with the squiggly letters that are barely legible, the one where you have to copy the letters to prove you're human? One of those.
To be honest (and since I am no longer a mod, so I don't actually have to side with the staff in public), I don't think the admins are busy as much as they are programmers. Which is kind of a swear word in my profession for the reason we are seeing right now.
IP bans are bans that take effect on the IP address of yours, that is, it bans your internet connection from allowing you to sign onto AG.

I remember when I had just become a moderator on this site. I thought I was going to go around breaking up arguments, banhammering trolls, deleting goatse, and telling people to calm their s***. Turns out, the job is mostly deleting spam and locking the occasional thread for being off topic. You members really do have us spoiled, I swear.

Well at least the members know we are trying our ****edest to keep this under control, even though we could be doing other things and not deleting threads so the populace can have a pleasant stay.
