I can play both upright bass and bass guitar as well as drums. I prefer upright bass simply due to the fact that I've played it longer and am not restrained by frets. Plus, slides are a hell of a lot easier. Of course, playing upright means massive blisters and callouses...
unfortunately it does get old when you are forced to practice. which made me dislike the piano for some time. i stopped taking lessons
Yes I feel the same way, it's pretty fun at first to just have some fun with your instrument but then when forced practicing and forced song choice starts it can get boring quickly,
When I was younger I used to play the piano, but now I totally forgot. Right now I play the violin and I am fairly good at at it. Playing the violin is sometimes fun and sometimes not, it depends what kind of mood I am in.
