Green Day is clearly the better band. Linkin Park put absolutely no effort into their songs or songwriting for that matter. Green Day has far better songs, they are more creative with their style and they are probably going to end influencing a lot of bands in the future.
I like how people don't like Green Day because they are "emo." Big whoop de shit. So what. They aren't that emo to begin with. All of their songs would have to be depressing if that was the case and one of them would have to be gay. I like Green Day more because of albums like Dookie, American Idiot, and 21st Century Breakdown, which are pure genius.

If your looking at Current, both horribly suck. Greenday went from making music to Political Rock which is just plain annoying. Now all the newfag greenday fans think their only hit evar is "American Idoit." Their best album, in my opinion was dookie. And some people don't even know that album exists but claim to be HUGE FAN. I'm not a huge linkin park person, but everyone tastes varies.

i like some linking park songs and some greenday but to be fair i think linkin park is just overall a much better band than greenday ( what with thier new album having one good song on it)
