Speaking of albums, I'm hoping LP's next one will sound more like their older stuff. I mean New Divide and Minutes to Midnight were great (in my opinion) but I miss Mike's rapping.
Green Day. they're not Emo, they're Goth, completely different (Except for the outfits and emotions). Only the lead singer is Goth, the rest are Punk. The lead singer being gay, may have molded his voice to that level he sings at. Green Days new album was probably the best they've made, most of the songs are good.
Are these two bands even in the same genre of music to be compared? I like both as I think that both have their qualities. If I had to pick, I'd go with Linkin Park though as they have more angsty stuff.
I'll say Green Day, because LP just suckss, but this is not the point...
Just to precise that my vote goes to Green Day's first albums... I mean Dookie, Nimrod or Warning, these albums are good...not this fuckIn' stuff they record now... American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown are just lame, they're far from anything that makes this band special, they just turned mainstream, and of course you, teenagers, love this, but it's not Green Day anymore, and their bullshit of three-parts albums, like a fortnight of songs isn't enough for this megalomaniacs... (I love acting as the old guy teaching you about music...you're so cute!)
