Has anybody ever used one of those population clock things? My teacher did it a few years back. It counts the amount of people, or you can reset it to start from 0. It also takes 1 away for every death. He left it for 45 minutes. The numbers rose over 45,000. I think that's outrageous, whether they're accurate or not I don't know, but that's the only thing I know.

national geographic has prety close 1 on their site of "7 billion". and i checked out some random 1 a week or so ago. and it was still at 6,7 billion. while the 7 billion hit was world news a few months ago. xD
so no, i guess they are not right unless you have a reliable source. and even then it's still just a guess.
WAIT, I just realised something! With people learniing more about medicine, people live longer, and fatal accidents are no longer so fatal. So even though it would take two new child to sustain the current poulation, the elders don't just die off when their grandchilds or greatgrandchilds are born. So if everyone had two children, and people still focused on medicine, the poulation would be slowly growing. But not everyone has two kids, some have only one, but some have three, four or five. But again, some have none. Which is why the population is growing.

yes that is true because of modern medicine the population has increased at an accelerated rate but because of continuous use of medicines the tolerance is being built up to the modern day medicines and it takes decades to make a new and better one. The population will take a huge negative hit once the tolerance level has hit the limit and people's ailments are no longer being treated up to a point where they make a full recovery.
I said this before. Scientists need to make it where people can live in space. Just hurry up with the technology already!
Well, then the water back on Earth would be all used up, and you'd have to go up and down often to get it. Then Earth will have no water, and since the people in space can't go back to get the water that isn't there... See, it would create problems. But even then, you'd need more Oxygen, and Fuel, to go back and forth.

I believe fatal accidents can't really be made less fatal with medicine. It's more likely that certain diseases will get curable, or better treatable. Also prevention can get better.
The trend to live longer isn't universal, I think I've read that in certain countries, I believe USA too, life expectancy has actually declined as of late. Medicine does not raise it continually, at least not medicine alone.

I already thought about that. That's why I want those people to figure out that problem.
That's why I want those people to figure out that problem.
why should they do that?
atleast these people are actualy working on the problem. you are sitting home reading the bibel --.--' why don't you look up what science is realy about instead of going against science and then ask scientists to work harder. --.--'
you have no right to tell them to work harder and faster when you yourself are to lazy to even learn the basics of science.
Medicine does not raise it continually, at least not medicine alone.
beter medicie and beter health care are the 2 bigest factors why the world population is growing so massivly.
where we would cut off some's arm in the past, that result in death because of blood lost. to a 2 months rehabilitation, and then you are as good as new. (example is about a simple broken arm or something)
you have no right to tell them to work harder and faster when you yourself are to lazy to even learn the basics of science.
You ever heard of freedom of speech? Anyway, for them to work harder they need to get all these research companies to work together. Well some are working together, but not all.
why don't you look up what science is realy about instead of going against science and then ask scientists to work harder
"Son." my dad said, "this is how you repair a laptop." "But dad." said I, " Why do I have to learn how to fix computers?" Dad says to me, "Boy, I want you to learn about engineering so you can take over my computer company. Science back then was not as it is now. I want you to make other companies succesfull with this technology. I want you to apreciate it like I do." "Okay Dad." says I. "Can you teach me how to make a robot? The Lego company made this thing where you can build one." My Dad say, "I'll get you one for your birthday."
In case you haven't noticed I'm learning about engineering. I once learned how to put a computer together, that was fun. I learned how to install software, and repair computers. Also my mother teaches me on chemistry. If none of this is science then I don't know what is.
I already thought about that. That's why I want those people to figure out that problem.
I'm not an expert, but it would certainly need a second planet for basic ressources and so on, I don't think an orbital or free-space station could sustain itself indefinitely.

Dude, c'mon. Please.
beter medicie and beter health care are the 2 bigest factors why the world population is growing so massivly.
As I said, it isn't 'growing massively', not everywhere, not anymore; it does even decrease in certain countries, western industrial countries in which it used to increase before. I don't even want to know why...

Oh wait. You were talking about world population? I thought we'd still be at life expectancy.
