@Shark,

Considering that there are trillions of planets(Or so said) a one in a trillion chance had to occur somewhere. You though would give the same argument whichever planet we happened to come up on.

And even if this were to be the only planet, if it happened, then you cant argue against the chances.
If the chances didn't hit, you WOULDN'T be able to say this.

I don't actually hate creationism, as it is in itself not mutually exclusive with evolution (only the big bang theory which I've never been fully convinced by). I do however hate Young Earth Creationists because the conjecture that they put forth actively seeks to tear down the building blocks of science itself and it cannot work without invalidating nearly ever scientific finding that we've ever come across. This in itself isn't necessarily bad as everyone it entitled to their own opinions, but the fact that we're deciding policy based on it is what pisses me off.

Evolution because it actually has evidence. Creationism has no evidence.

kamoro:
That's exactly what scientists hate. Anything without evidence is shot down. Scientists hate things like hope, faith, and fate.

Yea, because it has no hard back- up. You can give faith all you want, but evolution is real. Deal with it

I will believe in Evolution once they prove that it is true and not a theory. Deal with the fact that there isn't enough proof.

TH4_L3G3ND4RY_1 your are saying that

evolution just a theory
. Okay well did you know that GRAVITY is just a theory. So your say that you do believe in theory so therefore you don't believe in gravity

You cant prove gravity to be true.

No, gravity is a fact. It is proven. Religion is not proven. Now, the only reason that this is brought up is so Christians can say that creationism is real, and to down- play the atheists, AKA the people who aren't brainwashed. Now let this thread die

Nothing is fact.

And I am not Christian.

No, nothing is fact, but evolution is significantly closer to fact then creationism.

And I am not Christian.

But you're obviously religious in attitude if not in action.

When you say religious, what do you mean?

Evolution has more scientific evidence then creationism, but when my creator is said to be of another universe, you cannot disprove it, therefore what gives you the right to say science is logical.

My view of creationism very logical, no?

We've already been over how you inherently have to believe in some form of religion to believe in creationism, I'm not going to repeat myself because you weren't paying attention then.

when my creator is said to be of another universe, you cannot disprove it, therefore what gives you the right to say science is logical.

It is a logical fallacy to say that you cannot disprove something therefore it must be fact. Disproving anything, or rather proving a negative are impossible in all but the most well defined cases (and even then prone to error).

I don't think most scientist would say that they "Hate" faith, or religion, but simply that it shouldn't be taught in school as a science (Young Earth Creationism) because it is not science it is exactly what most would call it faith. And if it is to be taught, it is to be taught at church or at home and not at school as science. Teaching it at school would be a degredation of all the progress we've made in science and we'd become the butt of every Western Countries joke.

If you can't prove it, then it has a possible chance for it to be real. You don't judge what the chances are. We humans, cannot judge this, but what I can do is make you think that the chances are higher then as you think right now.

Other universes are not space of galaxies, stars, and planets...there something completely unknown to us. The universes contain the unknown and there are possibly an infinite number of them. In one of these many, it could be what we call the creator of us. Consider that place, our parent universe. Considering God is something unknown as well, you cannot one say, how could he do such a thing?, who created him?, and all that crap. Our thoughts are of only what we seen. You cannot ask questions of an unknown thing, and I will not be able to give you an answer.

Logic, too, is a learned trait that only belongs to our universe and what we seen. See if the laws of nature changed, we would see it as reasonable if there was no gravity for a few seconds. What we think of valid, a paradox, or a false statement does not apply when were talking of another universe.

Btw, what is life? Its nothing magical. Its all just complex functionality, or as I like to call programming. Life can be created. When we program games like Sims, who is to say were not creating another universe?

Only difference is, we don't make everything in that world function. The characters do not have complex brains. They are just programmed to "do this and do that". What makes our brain different is that we are able to program it ourselves as we go along. We produce thoughts and are able to do many things. But...our brains only work this way because our brain is programmed to these things! So if were able to create such complex brains, and organs on the computer...it would be life. They would start pondering as to how they got their, they might think of a God...For fun, you might program someone to grow up and write the Bible and spread the word to others. They would think like us, if they had brains like ours.

Haha, you would be God!

But if you programmed them to cry when something good happens, they would do it. Its all about how we are programmed.
Killing is fun!

Why are we to say we are not just a Sims game?
Our god can be nothing but a nerd on the computer or a whole another being we do not know of.

Welcome to the world of nihilism.
