Kinda my take on it, since I didn't have a ref.
I think I got it wrong.

What happened to Hydreigon's other heads?

They are just under the cut.
Probably either biting or trying to unsuccessfully eat something.

I love the contrast in styles between the two pieces... one is a more basic, cartoonish style while the other is painted in a very detailed fashion! I assume it's painted anyway because the brushstrokes look like those of watercolor...

I know little about art, but I can appreciate it and I guess that counts for something! =D

I'm sorry. I have no idea what you are trying to communicate.

@Skeleton_Pilot: Why, thank you. It sure does count for something, after all, you don't need to be a cook to know if something tastes good, and you don't have to know anything about art to say something looks pleasing to the eye.
If I may indulge in a description of the two pieces:
The top one was drawn while waiting for something, on lined paper which took a bit to remove (which is also why the colours have faded a bit in the line). It was kinda fun, and just happened, which doesn't happen often when I draw. I think I might have more in that style, but it wouldn't surprise me if I have lost them all.
As for the second, it was drawn more recently instead of sleeping (since that is overrated anyway). Regular sketch paper, pen, watercolour pencils for most of the picture, touch up with real watercolours on the - wings and the rest of the black colouring.
I am not particularly good with a paint brush, that much I know, but I think, for the purpose and effect, it went fairly well.
Ugly red dots are also courtesy of the watercolours.

It was fun. I should probably have slept instead, though.

If you just left it at the bolded portion, you'd have left yourself open to a comment relating to a(n) *insert Pokemon from either this list or this other cooler list*."

You know, I was going to ask you why you went the traditional route instead of your usual, and then I realized that the WoM isn't over yet. Actually, I don't even know if that last part is true.

Says something about my mental capabilities these days that I forgot all about Cut.
Oh well, it's a good reason to make more drawings of pokemon, isn't it.

As for the whole traditional thing... It's what I have, currently. I haven't touched my tablet for several months now, not that I have drawn much in that time anyway. I've been busy. Also with the WoM, but not as much as I would have liked to. Everything is going... Slowly.

For something else entirely: Quest for Camelot is in TV, I want to draw falcons and griffins. Their horses was nicely proportioned too, I don't know why people went away from that, even in the name of comedy. Actually, scratch that, I don't know why they went away from any of what they did back in the days in favour of much of what they do today.
No, it is not as realistically looking as the 3D animation, it's not as smooth either, but it was still much more interesting to look at, and rather aesthetically pleasing.
I would take this over most modern cartoons, and this in question is an animated movie from 1998. Then again, it has been a while since I have been entirely impressed by the big 3D movies.
Not to mention I kinda forgot why I liked this movie back the one time I saw it: It's goddarn impressive. The setting of the forest is just amusing and creative, the antagonists are pretty much the same, while still being visibly evil. Attention to body language... And I wish I could do backgrounds like they could.
Long rant, no one cares, but I am in a horrible cartoon observant mood.

... The Danish voicing isn't that great, though.

I didn't know Pokemon was still relevant in society.

Anyways, I admire your use of marmaking techniques. In the first one, it looks a lot like a calligraphical background, and in the second the colors clash, but almost look as though they blend like watercolor.

A nice piece.

Pokemon will always be relevant to me. I guess it keeps me out of joining other, worse fandoms/franchises.

I also have little idea of what "marmaking" means, besides the fact that it might not be the most flattering description around, so I can't comment on that much, besides pointing out that the second one was made with watercolour pencils and a bunch of black watercolour, so it should be understandable that it blends like that, and at least the background and the blue was meant to contrast each other to bring more emphasises on the subject.
So I guess I succeeded?

So, thanks.

Awesome work Cen, I love it when you use water color. Infact, that's all you should ever do because it makes me happy and my happiness is all that matters.

Will be considered, though pure watercolour works are pretty intimidating to me. Insanely so.
So I decided to make an A3 sized poster with watercolour only as a graduation present.
Genius.

Webcam picture because I can't be bothered to try and scan this, only partially photographed because that part looks best.

And please no crits on this one, if someone should feel the urge. Take the two top ones and rip those apart, but not this one.
Thanks.

Yes!! Cen made a new art thread. I can now go back to trolling...I mean commenting on his art. And I will do that when I am on my CPU and not my phone. It takes me forever to type on my phone.

I like your penguin. Very good use of water coloring. But I have to ask, where are the horse porn pictures?

So lets get on with some of the commenting I said I would do.

The first picture is simple which is nice. There are parts you could clean up that would make me happy but it is not big deal. There is a part on the left of the dragon that is the background but looks like it could be part of the dragon, that bugs me a little. The smoke coming from the dragon is really well done.

*Rants for hours about how he hates painting and watercolors*
OK. The next picture is watercolor it seems. It is really good. I HATE painting. I can never get the detail that I want. You did a good job with it though. Are the black things supposed to be other heads?

Can I critique the last one? PLEASE?
