I will start off with number 1 and we will ascend from there, feel free to add on, just get the number right. Also this could be a forum game but it kinda isn't so correct me if I'm wrong.

7. The largest living organism on Earth is a massive (8.9 square kilometers) fungal colony under Mahleur National Forest, in the Blue Mountains of eastern Oregon, US.
8)In Brazil,there's a desert in Maranhao that is full of lakes and rivers almost like it's flooded.This is called paradoxical juxtaposition(idk what that is),it is currently a national park named Lencois Maranhenses.(It's not everyday that you can see a flooded desert)

Close, but not quite. According to etymonline.com it comes from boulette ("cannonball, small ball", diminutive of boule ("ball". Bulle is actually French for "bubble"
