chiliad, if a frog had wings, it wouldn't bump its butt everytime it hopped.

of course it would be different if tobacco had never been around...

I think that everyone has the personal choice to smoke, as WallyOhio said. It is a personal decision that every can make for themselves.

However, I do agree that no-smoking laws should be enforced in public places. If someone wants to mess with their own health, that is fine. But when they start smoking around me, I do not find that to be acceptable. When you smoke around other people you are putting their health at risk as well. Personally, I believe even stronger about this because I am allergic to cigarettes, even just the smoke bothers me. Last time I went to Vegas, I ended up with a rash all over because the smoke was so thick everywhere. Of course that is one of those places where it will always be acceptable, and going into those casinos is accepting to be surrounded in smoke. But all I am saying, is that I definitely support the laws against smoking in public. Because even if you don't mind hurting yourself with the substance, it is not fair to hurt others as well.

Anyways, I thought that this was an interesting image that I saw on Digg. Still, I am not saying that if you smoke it is wrong. I am just linking to that because I was personally surprised at how dramatic some of them are. I didn't think it was all so severe.

I wish you could still smoke in bars and places of food..that kinda ruined my fun.

Most people do not realize how dramatic the effects of smoking are. See, I did but just did not care. Well learned but apathetic? Gee-whiz I am special.

Smoking is only bad because it is accepted. I have nothing against those who smoke, but I just won't start. Too hard to quit.

At the same time though Devoidless, people smoking in restaurants may ruin other peoples fun. And the majority of people are non-smokers. Personally, when I used to go into a restaurant where smoking was allowed, it would ruin the whole experience. And then you not only have to deal with it all through dinner, but then when you get home your clothes and hair reek of other peoples smoke. If I am around a smoker I have to wash my clothes and hair before my head will even stop hurting from the fumes.

Yes,
We talk about smoker's rights all the time, but do we ever talk about non-smoker's rights. They have an equal choice in decidering to smoke. It is only fair to seperate out non-smokers from smokers, or you can also correctly say seperate smokers from non-smokers. I feel that this discussion is not going far enough. What if a parent smokes? what rights does a child have. Imagine your parents smoke (anywhere around the house, not just one room). How would your life have been different?

I think it is very unfortunate when parents smoke, because even when they do it outside of the house, it still effects the child's health. Plus, if a parent smokes, the child is more likely to do the same when they grow up. And most friends that I had growing up who had parents smokers, were also afflicted with asthma. Even when the parent smoked outside of the house.

Should a parent be allowed to smoke if it is against a child's will. No, because your rights end where another person's begin.

Well, if not not restaurants then atleast bars. Bars are far more important to me. I mean..if you can go to a place that you legally pay someone to slowly kill yourself, why not let you smoke? If someone complains, just throw them a couple of New Island ice teas. They will not care much longer.

I used to have asthama. Obviously, not any more.

Chilliad, I have heard that argument used a few times before. And everytime it just does not make much sense to me. If that was true for everything, we would be living in a very subdued and boring world.

I have to agree about the bars. It's this way in my town. I get very upset when it is cold and I want to enjoy a clove, but I have to stand outside without my drink in the cold to enjoy it. I do miss smoking in restaurants but I can get over it.

And I think a couple Long Island Iced Teas (at least how I make them) could make a grown man puke.

Haha, well ofcourse if someone awesome makes them they will be strong. But most of the time, it is easy to control costs even further by being frugal with the fun parts and liberal with the boring ones.

Oh, and if you think you could do that, you have never met me. Well, I guess that is kinda obvious. Because, well, we never have met...

Oh, it's on like Donkey Kong.

Provided that get to stand up the entire time and not forced to sit down then stand back up quickly, I will be good.

Now all I need to do is...um...get there. How about a raincheck on that, for an unknown length of time. But as soon as it stops proverbally raining, you are on.

Deal. But you have to drink the mind erasers through a straw and under 5 seconds. They are only about 5-6 oz of drink.

Sounds like a plan. If I can down a half bottle of Captain Morgans in one go and finish the last half hour of cleaning a kitchen, I can handle this.

Oh. Um..Don't smoke kids. You will get warts. Smoking gives you warts, right? Now it does.
