White Forest Boss - Warlord Izumi
Try to jump every now and then as you may dodge his shadow dash move. Also interrupt his heals if you can.
Burial Grounds Boss - Warlord Niroshi
Make sure you deal with the risen ASAP because if you don't deal with them they will eventually mob you to death. It is recommended to disrupt him while he is trying to summon the risen.
Dai'Jin Mines Boss 1 - Lady Akari
Disrupt her fireball casting and dodge her fireballs just as she's about to release them and jump in for the kill.
Dai'Jin Mines Boss 2 - Dai'Jin Lord
He heals/blocks more damage the more you attack him in a short time frame.
The key to this fight is to burst him down with 1 or 2 attacks (Don't use multi hit strikes) run away and wait for his green shield to disappear and repeat til dead.
Venomwoods Boss 1 - Ryota the Sly
Reduce healing debuffs are useful for this fight e.g Doom Blade.
Has high regeneration so lay down the pain and interrupt his poison bolts (don't bother dodging them as they can track you).
Venomwoods Boss 2 - Lord Takeshi
Just like Ryota healing debuffs are useful for this fight.
Try to disrupt his poison cloud and just continue to damage him.
Shogun Palace Boss 1 - Haddaku the Swift
He will occasionally summon a clone of himself although it disappears fairly quick so just focus on bringing down the boss.
Shogun Palace Boss 2 - Warlord Asura
Try to interrupt or avoid his high slashing damage move as it deals HIGH damage. Later on in the fight he will use a blue shield which renders him inactive but will heal him while its active so attack him while he is doing this (healing debuffs are useful here). Try to avoid him while he is glowing red as he deals increased damage.

Almost every post here has been on warrior and priest and the posts that have been on hard difficulty have been on warrior. I have completed every difficulty with every class except for hard difficulty with assassin which I am currently working on and I have to say, warrior is by far the easiest class and assassin is the hardest.
Maybe it's because I'm doing, an agility build for assassin this time instead of strength, but the problem I'm facing is not high enough sustainability in fights. Atm I am being frustrated by the first enemy retainer at the shogun palace. I do tonnes of damage, but all he has to do is flick the blood ring on and I'm screwed. Sure I can run when he does this, but he is faster than me when he has this on and gets free hits on me easily. More than once I stun him and he just manages to turn it on before he goes into stun so I can't attack him without getting hurt myself. Although I haven't made extensive tries against him, I fear how it's going to go when I face a retainer as well as another enemy, which will surely happen.... Am I doing something wrong with my build?
I am level 14 and my build for him so far is: 2 adrenaline, 1 shadow reflex, 1 stun, 1 shuriken, 1 spectral dash, 2 in blur, 3 furious strikes, 2 devastation. My stats are: 55 strength, 64 intellect, 203 agility, 76 vitality.
For assasin it is very difficult to focus solely on agility. The only 2 spells that rely on agility are spectral dash and shuriken. Your build isn't working because you rely on your normal strikes which is impacted by weapon power and strength more than agility. You have 3 options go all out spectral dash, all out shuriken, or get earth affinity.
Mmm. IIRC there are boots that increase your speed.
For skills, I would suggest that you put the points currently in Furious Strikes and Devastation in Shuriken/Marksman instead. 1. It's a ranged attack 2. It's dmg is affected by agility, and 3. It has mini-stun, which you can use to interrupt casting with. And a point in quickening- 10% less cooldown can be quite useful.
Alternatively, I suppose you could stick some points in strength/get earth affinity, but that's something that needs testing.
trying- Strike, Kick, and Poison Strike are also affected.
Mind you, these are just suggestions. There might be a better way to do this, I don't know. Hopefully this was helpful
Class: Fighter: Tank: He can deal serious damage quite quickly with his skills, but his normal strike attack is not very powerful. Some of his skills reduce his speed! Most important stats: strength, agility Class: Assassin: Damage dealer: He has the ability to deal huge (!!!!!!) amounts of damage with his normal strike attack and the smoke bomb. some of his abilities further increase the damage. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CLASS!Most important stats: agility, strength Class: Priest: Archer: he can easily clean entire maps just with his shadow bolts. Not as dangerous as the assassin, but still impressive. Use shadow guards defend him while casting shadow bolts at your beloved enemies, he is pretty vulnerable! Most important stats: intellect, agility
Daijin is so annoying because there's 0 save spots. .It was pretty much all trial and error and a TON of repeating stuff. Not fun at all there on hard mode.
Mask of insanity is in The Throne of Flames mission, just be sure to check every door you see.
I only play on hard, because it's not interesting otherwise.
Assassin deals insane amounts of damage with shadow reflex + dash, even more with bomb, I did 5000+ endgame. Takeshi is a hadrer matchup because you have to wait for cooldowns, and he has high regen. Stack poison on him, and use the double shurikens to interrupt. Assassin has the most interrupts out of every char.
Hunter does not need HP at all. Two words: Choke+Chains. Max Guard, then 1 point in Dart, 1 point in Choke, max Hunter's Chains, then max Choke. Grab evade + invis along the way. You have only one priority in gear: max INT. Full build (lvl 22, beaten everything): Guard 2 -> Anti Stun 2 Evade 3 -> Invisibility 1 Paralysis Dart 3 -> Choke 5 -> Hunter's Chain 3 Wisdom of Life 1 -> Overdrive 1 The rest you can put wherever you please, for example max Wisdom of Life or pump up Luck for better farming.
Strategy: Early game is cakewalk. Kill people with tactical-guard-anything. Use evade to wait for guard CD. Use Ice sword (lineage scroll quest) until you get Hunter's Chains up to 3. Then you should start pumping your INT and your quest to oneshotting absolutely, positively every motherninja in the room begins. the full combo is a lot easier then assassin's: use Tactical Strike on your main target, dodge anythig incoming with Guard, then (if noone procked Guard autocrit) you just Evade for autocrit and Choke. Use Paralysing Dart as Choke wears off to wait for it's CD. My Choke deals 1563 damage raw, withought any crits, and sits on 6.6 srconds CD. Dart does 743 damage on 4.9 sec CD, 3 of which is freeze. I'm not even fully geared yet.
There is one more thing. Primal Surge can be included for +25% to int, which translates into 25% damage increase since your skills scale off int only. But it makes The Combo 1-2 steps longer and overkill: Guard - Primal Strike - Tactical Strike - Evade - Choke (from behind) is like 7000+ crits.
Good luck, and try to beat the game with fun builds!
