Obviously it is not true. It is one of the most foolish theories ever. First of all, why would it end on December 21 and not any other day. The world, as in our Earth, will never die, since it is made out of many layers of rock. It will only be destroyed if a larger mass of rock crashes into it [or if it gets destroyed by the Death Star (Just a joke)] . The pollution is just a nuisance, but it can lead to the entire Earth's population suffocating. Another way of the world ending would be an excessive use of nuclear bombs around the world. So, the world ending in 2012 is a foolish theory. Our civilization will hopefully live on until we find a way to resist radiation poisoning and pollution and any other problem we have now.

If people could actually predict the world was going to end, the world would have ended over a dozen times in the 1990's

People people it is only a prediction based on their beliefs there is nothing to be afraid of. I personally don't believe that the world will end but I do believe we are experiencing a global crisis that can be resolved.

People talking about the world ending on 2000 CE, the Y2K is actually supposed to be 2001. Heh, no one likes a math geek

The world isnt ending in dec 21 2012 i heard it was ending in 2000 but no it didnt happen and i also heard it was ending in 2008 but no it didnt happen these lies are rumors ppl just spread them and convince others to believe

Ah well if the world ends on dec 21, 2012 nobody would bother, because we are all pretty much dead after the worlds ending.

i think that that is all a bunch of crap because people thought the world woud end in 2000 and it didn't happen also i bet people are going to quit their jobs and spend all there money trying to have fun and when the world doesn't end they will be livin in a box because some ancient idiotic civilization said the world would end...

I don't believe that nonsense. Nothing is impossible though but, there has been many predictions about "the world ending".

one civilization's calendar ends and the world is supposed to end? why do we make such a big deal about some other civ's calendar but not ours? our calendar ends once each year! oh noes!!! each dec. 31st the world will end!!!!
