I am a christian, i and i strongly belive in my lord jesus christ, and i also belive that if you belive in him and except him as your savior, u will go to heaven. and i also believe that he created the world, not the big bang, or that we came from stupid apes.
Now we see eye-to-eye. If a scientist told a man in 15th century France that there were going to be devices that could record real life, he would've said you were a mad man.
Unless of course you would provide evidence or possible evidence...

obviously we need to differentiate theory from fact buddy.
yes, he would be considered a madman because technology at that time could not prove it.
you could be right in the future, just not now. maybe it should be time to fill that grave instead of digging deeper
Your fallacy, my good man. We theists aren't going around trying to disprove God. If I say God exists, and you say he does not, and I am simply happy to be Catholic, and you are out making threads against the religious like a bunch of rabbits, then I'd say rather it'd be YOUR job to disprove God.
In fact, if you're going to use the "You can't prove God didn't create the universe, therefore God did it" argument, then you can't disprove the Big Bang theory, and therefore you must accept it.
You cannot disprove the big bang. You cannot disprove God. So It's a pick between the two, and I cannot fathom how the big bang is more realistic.
I have a question. If science shows no physical evidence of God, then why must the burdern of proof be placed upon the atheist? Should it not be placed on the Theist who asserts there is god?
Allow me to use an anology.
In a court of law the procecutor must prove beyond reasonable doubt that the acused is guilty. The defense merely raises doubt. In this case religion is the procecutor.

You make the claim, you back it up.
You cannot disprove the big bang. You cannot disprove God. So It's a pick between the two, and I cannot fathom how the big bang is more realistic.
You can't disprove anything, you have to prove it...
You cannot disprove either, but neither can be proved. However, I don't see why people shouldn't have the choice between which one to believe without being pressured to lean a certain way. Many Christians choose to stay Christians because they believe in an afterlife. It also keeps their morals in check, which is never a bad thing. So why not just leave them at their beliefs? Same goes for Atheists, why not just leave them at their lack of beliefs? This would really make everything much easier. You're not going to prove to the Christians here that God doesn't exist. And you're not going to prove to the Atheists that God does. So I don't see the point in trying.

I would be fine leaving them with there beliefs, if it didn't have a major effect on law and culture. When someone starts running planes into buildings, beating up homosexuals, and controlling people not in there religion they have gone to far. Religion finds its way into nearly every law some how...

Agreed. Religion has engrained itself into our culture too much. This who discrimination deal, whether it's gays or other races, it stemmed from religion.

You can't disprove something's nonexistence!
I have 3 eyes. It's a fact because I don't have to prove that I have an extra eye. Instead, you need to prove that I don't have an extra eye.
See how fucked up that is? There's no way you can disprove my third eye! You can ask me for evidence, but I won't give it to you.
Now you know how atheists feel when you spew that bullshit "Disprove God" excuse. I have nothing against religion and I have nothing against people's belief in God, but because we are in the middle of a debate, I at least ask for you to at least use some intelligence.
The reason atheists make these threads is because people like you keep making up excuses and everything under the sun to avoid having to prove God's existence. If you believe in God, stop avoiding having to explain yourself and give us some answers!
BTW, we proved God does not exist by offering scenerios that could explain how the universe was created. We aren't saying one is fact and the other isn't, we are merely pointing out the fact that it's possible for us to be here without a God to counter your argument that with no God there would be nothing in existence. Which, by the way, you can't prove that point either.
STOP telling people they have to disprove God. It's absolutely annoying. I actually debating against the atheists on this site a few months ago, but as you can tell I lost patience with the people I was defending.
You cannot disprove the big bang. You cannot disprove God. So It's a pick between the two, and I cannot fathom how the big bang is more realistic.
No, it's not a pick between the two. You can simply choose not to believe in either one and say "I don't know." Because in the end, nobody knows for sure.
Your fallacy
Don't accuse me of speaking fallacies when it is in fact you who spewed such poor argument.
If I say God exists, and you say he does not, and I am simply happy to be Catholic, and you are out making threads against the religious like a bunch of rabbits, then I'd say rather it'd be YOUR job to disprove God.
You're the one who chose to come here. If you can't prove your God's existence, then you have failed him.

I would argue the above point, but I can't have the theists contradict me when I'm defending them, which they have always done.
I think we can call this debate dead. The religious zealots have no proof for anything, nor any open mindedness to hear anything that contradicts their ideals, and the atheists and even some of the more intelligent christians have submitted all logical evidence. This has been reduced to a trollfest and a flame war.

Its the only thread left... No choice but to debate here.
So I will represent my question: If souls enter heaven or hell when you die then how does necromancy, witch was used in the Bible, work?
