I am a christian, i and i strongly belive in my lord jesus christ, and i also belive that if you belive in him and except him as your savior, u will go to heaven. and i also believe that he created the world, not the big bang, or that we came from stupid apes.

Let us consider that the bible is nothing but propaganda, and let us consider that hypothetically that god encouraged it's writings. If YOU were god wouln't you write it so that you appeared all powerful? What if god is just someone who is the first "being" that came into existence and claimed that he created all else afterward.

Read the golden compass series? I think it would go quite like that.

Along that hypothetical it would be possible that God really believes his own lie.

How would that go into play with Satan, though? Is he some sort of joke?

It reminds me of the plot of the Golden Compass series...

Satan would still rebel, it would just be for a reason even Christians see as good...

Satan is just as unbeliveable to atheists as god is.

What, no one has ever rebelled against someone who is self delusional before? It would also make more sense that Satan would try to rebel if God's omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient nature was just a self dilution.

Actually the story as to why Satan (Lucifer, the angel of light and beauty) rebelled is that God created Angels first, and until Jesus sacrificed himself Lucifer was at the right hand of God. Then God made man, Jesus comes along and gets killed, then all of a sudden God pushed Lucifer aside and Jesus now sat at the right hand of God.

Even though this would seem like a good reason to rebel, let's look at another thing. The bible has stated that the angels envied man because they had free will, while the angels were created to serve eternally.

Here's my question. The bible says Lucifer rebelled because he was jealous. It also says that angels don't have free will like us. So if an angel doesn't have free will, and exist only to serve, then Lucifer was simply doing as God commanded, as that is all angels can do.

Another case of God punishing someone for something He did. What a prick.

Kind of like a bully who gives someone a wedgy then makes fun of that person for having a wedgy.

Wow... now theres a thought. A delusional god. The god delusion. I do enjoy how many religious peeps act as if god has to be an ever loving person. This is really starting to look more and more like your wife beater analogy mage.

Fully agreed, but also consider the contradiction that the religious community has within itself that we are all part of his plan, yet we have free will. "Oh god knew this would happen, he works in strange ways" "God gives us the choice to do good or evil" ???

Deffo sounds like a schitzo god to me.

Another unfair thing, it basically says in Romans that god made you how you are, yet punishes you anyway.

Romans 9:19
Now you will say to me, 'Then why does God still blame us? For who can go against his will?'

Romans 9:20
But who are you, a mere man, to argue with God?

And this is why I love lego, even now at the age of 19. It's just another tool to show god as a non loving psychopath.

There seems to be a lot that contradicts even humans having free will.

I wish I never got rid of my Legos.
