I am a christian, i and i strongly belive in my lord jesus christ, and i also belive that if you belive in him and except him as your savior, u will go to heaven. and i also believe that he created the world, not the big bang, or that we came from stupid apes.

I found the brick testament by the way, look a few topics back.

Anyway I'm a bit more of an agnostic than a Christian now so I doubt I'll be posting a topic as specific as this.

That's why we can choose to be saved... Our free will! We can choose to die! Great, huh?

You can choose to live in virtual slavery to me or you can choose that I continuously torture you, great choices huh?

its threads like these that fill me with dbout. when you read these threads you dont know what to believe. so please dont make anymore threads that are just meant to have people beat eachover up over religion. reminds me of the templars and the islamics. history's cool ain't it.

The point of these threads is to make you think of other alternatives! That simply means that it's working.

Besides, I think it would be best if the strength of your faith is tested, this will simply either make it stronger, or perhaps set you on a more appropriate path, also with a weak faith, you might be called an apostate, and nobody likes that.

I think you mean simply 'Christians/Crusaders' and 'Muslims'.

What'd I miss? How did the conversation get to pedophile priests? And you have to remember only Catholic priests have been proved that perverse.

You're blind; open up your eyes in today's world religion does far more good than bad. Apparently you've never been to a church or tried to understand any of the religions around you you just learn your world from the news and nothing more.

Noted and ignored.

Think of it this way, charities, the main thing that religions do, would still happen without said religion. However driving a plane into an enemy to get to paradise when you die would not...

Now you're basing your argument on religious extremists, therefore your entire argument is looked over and then ignored.

So are you; go to church, spend time with people who's lives have been changed through belief in God. It doesn't matter that he exists what matters is that there are people who will love you no matter what and the idea that there is a supreme being who will as well.

A majority of the negative things come from extremist, not having them in an argument would be a flaw.

However, in history it has not only been the extremist making war over religion. Religion tends to be used as a tool to make war, and as we are speaking of modern day I used a modern example.

So waht you're saying is that believing in a higher power is like having a parental or familial comfort? I hate to say it, but that's something I would call a crutch.
