Alright, so two people can touch eachother, and Al Gore isn't a terrorist. But I refuse to stop arguing with people that are smarter than me until I can win.
This was inspired by an episode of the television show, The Moment of Truth. A paramedic was asked if fat people repulsed him, his answer was yes. This led me to question whether fat people repulsed me, my conclusion is for myself only but it has led me to more questions, mainly, are the obese immoral?
I am sure everyone can say, that they believe that allowing another person to starve to death, specifically children, is immoral, or, not conforming to the patterns of conduct usually accepted or established as consistent with principles of personal and social ethics.
A normal adult consumes 2427 calories a day, 18% less than an obese adult.
Since a baby needs 100 calories a day, every second day an obese person is effectively responsible for the death of a baby in a third world country. That is 182 babies every year. People are given the death penalty, for many less than that.
Many times I think it's not as simple as, oh those people are fat because they want to be. I think there are very few people on this earth that actually enjoy being huge, having health issues, and being pushed away from society.
The way we are chemically composed and the way nature functions makes us predisposed to addictions. The things that we rarely got in the early ages of humanity, such as fatty foods, and rest were things our bodies rewarded us for, so that we would try to get more of them for survival. Nowadays all of that stuff is abundant. An American could easily travel around without moving for a second, while eating the whole time.
With all of that stuff around us, some people get in a trend of eating Mcdonalds and it moves from a habit to an addiction. Most problems people face these days are addictions. Its all about stopping yourself before you get into that hole, but for some people it's more difficult to avoid than for others. Other factors affect it also, like how you were raised, what your parents fed you, what habits and mindset your parents instilled when it comes to diet and exercise.
The comment about obese people causing world hunger is pointless. The food would still be on the store shelves going bad. We are a wasteful society and thats that. We should give our surplus away to help people but we only do that to a limited extent.
It is statistically proven that a majority of Obese people are the poor, and low wage workers. And most are also minorities. (mainly because minorities statistically earn less money) This link could be because poor people make less, work more jobs, and tend to buy cheaper fast food for meals, or whether, they are poor because they are lazy and thus because they are lazy they don't want to exercise, and would prefer to eat pre-made foods.

Well if you're referring to obese people that are obese from eating a lot, then they are immoral, but if they're obese naturally and eat normal, then no
