It might be interesting if you let people at the maximum rank choose between several 'King' titles to get one used in their country - i.e. Dauphin, Sultan, Caesar, Maharaja, Emperor, Tsar, Kaiser, etc
That's indeed an interesting idea and I'd second it, but the question is, how many people would actually get the chance? Currently, the max rank requires ~29k stars. I personally only know about three 25ers: @Gantic (1012+97=33070), @ivanxxxxxxx (984+65=30260) and @MrDayCee (938+70=29895).
So you can lose ranks essentially. This can be buffered by more Quests.
So maintaining ranks will be heavily dependent on the rate you gather quests. At least on (the rate at which you gather quests)/(the rate at which new quests are added). I like it I just hope it is easy to implement, in terms of coding.
Well, post count isn't everything... and also, Gantic is still good, he has quests, he's funny, nice, friendly, makes good threads... and he is AG's only "admodnerstrator"
Wow... how about we go with a totally different list of names.
Some thing a bit more modern... or even better made up to fit into the AG web site.
Example...
0 - noob
1 - beginner
2 - player
3 - ace
4 - master
5 - master mind
6 - elite
7 - super elite
8 - delta squad
9 - Alpha squad
10- Omega squad
11- Special Operative
12- Grand master
13- Space Marine
14- Super space marine
15- Over lord
16- Supreme leader
17- Galactic Ruler
18- Master of the Galaxies
19- Ruler of the Universe
20- Armor Games Ultimate overlord
@welltell I for one appreciate the effort, but we've been looking for medieval titles for a reason. That being, AG's numerous references to castles, realms, knights etc. Even the old ranks followed that pattern (Serf - King/Queen). Besides the rank names seem to have been finalized, unless another issue rises
I think that they are good but, as Doom said, the medieval theme is part of AG. We were talking about alternative options, so these might be considered at some point.
