But you're right, we save so we can spend. wisely. What govt intervention does is trys to spend it's way out of recesion. Look at the deficit and see how that's going.
No. Having a big public sector does not help. It just prolongs the inevitable crash and makes it worse when it comes. Socialist countries that go into recession never really come out.
It does seem to help short term, I mean, you give me 1000 dollars I too shall report a profit.
In the long run, though, it , devalues our currency and sinks us deeper into recession. Not to mention increasing debt.
We need to stop our thought process that the government owes us everything. People need to take accountability for themselves, they don't need another slave driver.

Did you know that the Soviet Union fell because they allowed factories to be privatized?

Did you know that after the beautiful falsehood of Communism died in the hearts of people getting shitty shoes for two years straight did not make them very happy -- And it was either privatized factories versus a revolution (And by the way, the Revolution came anyway).
If you wanted to really simplify the many factors that helped kill the Soviets, it would be that they crumbled under the weight of their brutality and inefficiency.
Any form of social system is gonna be divided into those that have and have not, thats the whole idea of politics theres a group that controls and the others are the idiot masses that will follow them but hey thats just my opinion. Whats the reason to become a politician? My answer is simply to gain some form of power....this is usually the goal even if its for good intentions those without power cannot do anything and those with anything.
