Quick question, how involved in the government would the general public be under socialism? How involved would they be under communism? How involved should they be according to capitalism ideology alone? And how involved are people in all reality under capitalism?

First off, no matter how "democratic" you pretend to be, when you most need your voice and your rights, big government will do whatever it pleases.
Socialism is very weak against corruption. If the government becomes corrupt there is nothing the common people can do to stop it. The best forms of government are the ones that can be run tolerably by corrupt leaders.
You will always produce less in socialism. Workers will work just enough not to be fired. Sorry guys, few people are going to break their backs to "rogress society". It's so much easier for them to let everyone else take care of them. People work much better if their welfare is at stake
The economics do not work out. This is clearly shown by history. Just look at us, since the federal reserve was introduced, our currency has devalued over 90 percent.
If you work hard, you can get promoted, get a raise, or you van go off on your own and innovate. It's not blackmail, it's called personal responsibility
But the individual won't work harder just for the society. It doesn't happen. The only way society can progress the way you want it to is for people to take personal responsibility.

The average Joe will be promote when he is about 50 years old and the raise he will get usually will be not more than 500$. But at such age you may have children and a wife and this money are not enough to have a good quality of life.
Except for the fact that they taste different, of course.
So your saying I should progress at the same rate as everyone else?
Say I work 70 hour weeks, and have an extremely difficult job.
My coworker sits in an office all day, plays WoW and only works 30 hour weeks.
BUT, he has worked here for 5 years, I have worked for 3. I have worked far more hours in my time there, but still have to submit to him, and HE gets that promotion, that raise, or whatever.
