The Ak-47 is useful because it's simple, easy to use, and cheap. The newer versions of the AK are still at their base the Ak-47, even with a different name. I do beleive there are modifications of the newer Ak's that allow them to fire the old 7.62 instead of the present 5.45(not 5.56, and the 5.45 is still better than 5.56 despite being smaller). And for those who question its accuracy, if someone's in your face, the Ak will do its job. From farther away, all you have to do is spray and you will hit something.
Yep, but theres only 3 ak's that impresses me. First in line is the original ak47 made in he SFSR, second is the Serbian version it's basicily like the original, but with better modifications to it, and last butnot least the Bulgarian AK47 all I like about it is it's cool looking design.
Guys AK-47 is the best assault rifle in the world ever made . Even truth m-16 shoots faster and it's more accurate the AK-47 never jams breaks it's very simple to use you can shoot it in the water in the dirt in the sand . And it wight is very low . But... Telling the truth all the nukes are in their places and 9/10 of soldiers on the battle field die because of rifle fire .... So AK-47 IS the weapons of mass destruction ... And why the hell you can find it all over the world ? During the cold war USA and USSR were making weapons ammo tanks well anything they need to get on the battlefield because the both empires were getting prepared for world war 3 or just greatest war the world has ever seen (even if it would be and between two countries) and the soviets have made lots of AK's to fight their for their victory . After the end of cold war the USSR fell . So there were not leaders for countries of USSR and weapons dealers from all over the world came there and bought really much AK's and sold them all over the world and the world liked it ! Now you can find the even in Korea and in Israel too ! And Even in USA ! I'm Russian and i'm proud that my country made best rifle ever even truth I live In Israel now and the terrorists are armed with Ak's .. I believe that a rifle can't make you invincible . Also we have to blame the weapon dealers for it and not Mikhail Kalashnikov . So i believe that Russia should continue making AK's .
