Why?

No way!!! The AK-47 has been rated the best assult rifle ever made up to this date! Why would they ever want to stop makeing them?

Why would they? Its the greatest gun ever created. Its a piece of metal with a piece of wood on it, and its the most powerful, most reliable automatic weapon created. Its so cheap to make and buy also.

The Asault Kalashnkikov 47 (It's full name) has been produced tomany militaries around the world and is a reliable weapon.

It's an asault rifle not a sniper rifle, so accuracy may not matter as much.

ya it has a lot of recoil. Again, its pretty much a barrel on a wooden handle. Not many fancy features. So it kicks around a lot on full auto.

I defenatly do aggree with you, because it's not only the #1 rated rifle, but it's also the most realible weapon of them all. You can bury it for 2 years, and then dig it up and it will still work like new! (I saw this on the weapons channel)

And isn't the round actually bigger than one in a M4 or SA80?

The M4 has a 5.56x45mm and the AK's is 7.62x39mm.

I think that would be ridiculous. I is one of the greatest guns ever created. The only reason i can think of for ever stopping it's production is if it becomes obsolete and they don't want to improve it.
