There are a few exceptions though.... Switzerland for example. There is the oh so witty *cough* Jeremy Clarkson story about him buying an AK-47 in Switzerland and then being pulled over by the police because his car exhaust was too loud.... the policeman didn't bat an eye lid about the AK on the passenger seat. But I still think the regulations are pretty strong in Switzerland even if every household has at least one.
