In all of my life, I have found that out of all religions, most people who aren't Christian dislike Christianity more out of all the other religions. My question is: why?
After seeing a number of your posts here, carltherune, I can only come to one conclusion: You must be a sadist.
You already have the brunt of my argument in your beggining line. Most people dislike the religion, not the people. Which is a vast difference. It is much easier to hate something that has been around for a couple of thousand years which has no face of identifying feature.
Furthermore, are you aware of all that has been done in the name of Christianity? Not to mention how almost all of the rucus against homosexuals, abortions and stem cell research has come from Christians who look to the bible for answers in these situations, when it should actually be a personal choice.
Wait, if jesus is god, then what happened to the original god? Also, if I made a religion where I accepted that jesus is god, and I also made it part of the religion that you go to other christian churches and burn them, am I still a christian? Well, i just kind of answered my own question. But not the first question I asked.
I dunno there, Kurgle. I think a lot of people have done horrendous things in the name of god or whatever besides christians. Christianity is a fairly new religion on the grand scheme, so those other guys have had a lot more time to do some heinous stuff to people. Although if you really want to feel disliked, become an atheist. Then everybody hates you
So Christianity is polytheistic? Oh... they're the same entity. That's really hard for me to wrap my head around because when he was hanging there on the cross he was all like "Father forgive them for they know not what they do." He was talking to himself. Anyway, I'll accept that. Well, then, so if I make a Christian religion that burns churches and pillages towns, then I am in fact still Christian it seems.
Sorry, but you were already beat to that I do believe. I think it happened during a little know time called the Crusades and bit towards the time when a small group known as the Inquisition was around.
I'm pretty sure Christians didn't burn churches during either the Crusades or the Inquisition. Yeah, I'm positive they didn't unless it was by accident or something. Anyway, my point was that if the only requirement to be a Christian is to accept jesus and god (as mentioned previously) then I can do whatever I want as a Christian and get away with it.
