Okay, this is pretty much a topic for Christians. Anyway, this has been a Gray Matter for forever with Christians, and I want to know what you guys think about this.
The big example people always come up with is this: If someone gave you a gun and told you to shoot either your friend or yourself, or else he'd kill you both, and you shot yourself, would you go to Hell? I mean, you saved your friend, but you committed suicide, which is unforgivable, right? What do you think?
God would say '' I am sending you to hell for putting me in such a difficult position!''
Im not sure really. I guess you would need someone with religious knowledge to answer this. I would say on a moral not religious perspective that you probably wouldnt go to hell because you saved one life from death by killing yourself. The ultimate sacrifice. Although Jesus was meant to dieh for mans sins so maybye this is a similar small scale equivalent. Ultimate self sacrifice to save another so maybye god would see it like that. Eh thats what i think anyways. But il say again you need someone with religious knowledge for this.
But if you let yourself die then you could have saved someone so it could be perceived that you killed that person yourself by making that descision. If you did what you did you coul argue that you dont go to heaaven or hell because you refused to commit suicide a mortal sin but you also passed a chance to sacrifice yourself for others. A sure way to get to heaven. So you would probably end up in Purgatory for years and years.
well before we go to religion the obvious thing is to see if it is possible to kill the guy. if not then we came to reigion. i am muslim and in my religion just like Christianity suicide is a big sin. but self sacrifice is completely different. it you die for the sake of your lord for good reason not like terrorists you will go to the highest heaven.
Thats what i would have thought but suicide is meant to be a really massive sin. Or at least i have heard. I wish someone with religious knowledge could come on here and clarify that.
Assuming god exists(which for this thread we must) then how do we know? We can never truly know how many people are in heaven or hell. What if it is like in the South Park film where there are only 100 people in heaven and billions in hell. I mean probably not but we can never know for sure.
oh dude my bad its late and im tired i practiced hard all day for QB fine..the guy with the gun and im 13 in 8 grade..not personal no personal info here.
