My personal opinion is that guns are just fine. Guns help us provide security for our families if something ever happens, but I want to here your opinions.

well they are good for hunting... Wat they were intended on in the first place. U think war is going to end without guns... Its gunna keep on happening no matter what you do. Guns just help to reduce the greusomeness, and gore.

guns would lower the deaths in wars, we don't need to hunt for food, we have farms to raise animals.

lol ya but honestly, hunting is a sport now. It would be like saying, k you can play hockey but without the sticks.. I know what your trying to get at. But getting rid of guns isn't going to make the world a btr place. You'd need to get rid of knifes, and anything else that could do dmg. Rlly Gund r neither good or bad. Its about ideals. And of course everyones ideals are different. Mines that they should stay cuz they helped aboriginals when they needed fur to stay wamr, and help them eat. We raise animals, but how do you think we kill them? They just magically die one day lol. You have to kill them when they are a certain age, and when they are fat and healthy. So here what would you rather kill them with? A clean effective shot with an instant death and minimal blood loss? Or stabs and slits to the throat with blood everywhere, which in the end loses you alot of money? Guns are needed, just not to be able to be bought by anyone.

They're good when used like any tool. Safely and for making other tasks easier. Hunting, I suppose, is the only task. But there's no way the world is going to give them up. So good or bad, they're here.

I've always thought killing for sport was pointless and just plain stupid, no offense to anyone. Of course, if you take the animal you kill and eat it then fine that's alright, unless it's endangered or something, killing for money is one of the stupidest things ever come up with. But yeah if you eat it at least you're using it for something productive and it's more of a sport at that point.
Also I've always thought shooting for sport is dumb because a lot of people do it to say 'I killed a deer' or something. With what? A gun...from miles away. It'd be more impressive if you got up there with a knife or killed it with your bare hands, although most people wouldn't know how to kill something quickly(animals have feelings too) with either of those...

We raise animals, but how do you think we kill them?

There are other ways to kill an animal, and most of the time they just break the neck, not shoot the thing.

So good or bad, they're here.

Yuppers to that. You can't get rid of guns, not with how much people 'need' them. If we got rid of guns, they'd just use nuclear weapons instead and say that was all they ould do. Also for self-defense, self-defense is defending yourself, not going on the offense and winning, just in my opinion.

o ya btw, youd be kinda stupid to think that deaths would stop because guns are gone... Killers kill ppl cuz they have the feel, and the need to. So whether guns are here or not ppl will still die. So quick question: would you rather die quickly by gun shot, or slowly by knife wound? Cuz thats all it comes down to these day. Gun or knife. I personally would choose the quick gun shot kill. Not the constant stabbing.

lol k raptorexx, next time you see a cow or a pig, and think its that easy to break a neck... try it... The animals run away by the time you get there. And another point. Most hunters do eat the deer they kill. They are only allowed to kill a certain number of animals per season, as you will find by the hunters licence. So its a waste of money to shoot an animal, and then leave it there. Another point- It is absolutly impossible to sneak up on a deer. The sound of you breathing heavily, a twig branching, or your footstep anywhere near it is enough for it to start running away. And lastly i'd like to see you hold up a 30 aught 6 lying down, and try to shoot a deer from far away. You have to be precise, and have to move to the wind, and have to aim higher due to gravitational pull. Clearly you understand nothing about what hunting is aimed for....

Well, what about hunting for meat? Many people hunt for the food, and you would, too if you were stuck in the middle of nowhere...

well clearly he wouldn't... You dont realize the true technological advances guns have brought to the world. Dangerous or not. I mean how would the police force act if they didn't have guns to protect us. They'd be like "k everyone get out your tazers. Lets zap this guy".. Lol

hunting for trophies is AWWWWWWWWWWRIGHT

Fix'd that for yeh.
Trophy hunting, just like murder, has been around since the dawn of civilization. Take away one tool and we'll find another. Granted, I eat my kills (and I've actually started doing more bow hunting), but I don't dislike trophy hunters. I think it's wasteful but what they do within the law is none of my business.
