I understand having a big memorial the first few years after the attacks, but I think it should be moved to further increments from now on. For instance, on the 10th, 25th, 50th anniversaries and such.
The hijackings played their parts in uniting the country under a cause, but now the country seems to be dividing again. We should let them drift from our mind and focus on other things going on the the world.

I agree

Memorial Day is a United States Federal holiday observed on the last Monday of May (on May 26 in 2008). Formerly known as Decoration Day, it commemorates U.S. men and women who died while in military service to their country

Meh?

This would be Vietnam and Iraq mostly. Both very unpopular wars >_>
Still nothing compared to everything else.

Memorial commemorates EVERY soldier, otherwise it would be to complicated

That might be, but Memorial Day is about honoring the soldiers who gave their lives, whether you agree with where they were at the time or why they were there.

only 100,000? Think again 400,000. Nagasaki (Or however you spell it) was a highly populated area to begin with.
