How would you feel, if you walked down the street one day, and lo and behold, a crowd cheered as your countries flag was set alight and waved.
Depends on who's doing the burning. My own opinion was that people have the right to protest their own country. But a group of foreigners just randomly burning our flag might very well piss me off. Never actually been in that situation.
Flag Yes it should. Burning your own flag in your own country would be as close to treason as you can get w/o actually committing treason. By burning the flag you are making a statement that you do not believe the Country to which you belong is rightfully there or rightfully existent...or at least close to that effect
The nation was founded that we can protest the government on the "magna carta" principle with a system of checks and ballances, if people want to legally protest then they can.
Thats what seperated france russia and many other wars. Don't plan on restricting.
Honestly the same people who hold tight to their guns are the same people who think the constitution should be trashed for their own accord and no knowledge of how others live or the fundamentals of life.
iam not pro-burning, infact i was one of the people who riped a american falg out of a idiot west boro baptist church people who where piciting and about to let their dumb kicks stomp on a flag and i threw a rock at them, true story to
Your grammar is terrible, please revise your end result before posting. Hardly legible.
Beyond that, it's not pro flag burning, it's pro-free speech vs pro-government dominance honestly. The nation is founded that we can protest the government and regulating or attack those people will only excacerbate the issue at hand.
People have the right to express themselves, but I believe it is ethicaly wrong to burn the flag. I remember after September 11, there were celebrations in many middle eastern countries where they were partying in the midddle of the street, burning the American flag. That action in and of itself made me madder than the actual terrorist attacks.

I understand not liking people burning your countries flag, and I don't too, when I see it I know that I get pissed off at how disrespectful and rude and selfish that the people in question are acting. However, I would never stop anyone who was doing it, and I would never try to change the law to stop anyone who is doing it because I personally believe that the one thing that makes America great, and makes us shine above other countries is our freedom. Whether or not it's being strictly adhered to it's the idea of those freedoms that make me love this country great. There's a lot of things that people say all the time that I don't agree with, and there a lot of things that people do that piss me off, but I would defend their right to say and do those things for as long as I could because those are the freedoms that make this country what great.
Wouldn't it be a bit hypocritical to be an American and butn an American flag? If you hate America and burn it's flag, it's your public statement to the public tat you hate america and everything about it. So wouldn't that mean that you would also hate the freedoms you have like...oh, i dunno...freedom of speech???
Burning a flag should be my right. Some say it's about respect. Well, what if I have no respect for the government. In that case, I have every right to burn it.

There are other things the flag stands for aside from the government, like the military for example.
and for those who dont like burning flags:
If flag burning becomes unconstitutional, couldnt that be a slippery slope downwards where we have our rights taken away little by little until we have nothing left to take?
ah, but if you're in the US, theres the problem. The argument that it infringes on the 1st amendment means that it will need to be made into an amendment to the constitution.
this country is meant for the free... you have every right to burn the flag i mean you bought it its yours its just not very patriotic and if they do arrest you for burning the flag then thats bull and it means that this country is making you be patriotic...
